Summary :

Buyer purchased item and item was specially hand delivered to a Fedex location the day after purchase. It was shipped economy shipping (as noted on the listing) and eventually received within the estimated delivery time. Before it was delivered sent a rude message complaining about the shipping time.

Stating as follows, "What, Did you guys ship this the pony express? It's going on a week and I still don't have it and your only in CA, not very cool and really disappointed in the level of service."

I then took time, out of my busy schedule at my day job, to follow up and try to clear up any confusion. After the package was received (48 hours later and within the estimated shipping time), I sent him a polite email thanking him for his business and offering for him to contact me with any other questions or concerns he might have directly. Then I even followed up with positive feedback for his swift payment. After all of this, the buyer left malicious negative feedback about the items shipping time stating,

"MEH SLOW SHIPPING WON'T DEAL AGAIN!"

Buyer purchased item and item was specially hand delivered to a Fedex location the day after purchase. It was shipped economy shipping (as noted on the listing) and was still within the estimated shipping time when I received this message,

"What, Did you guys ship this the pony express? It's going on a week and I still don't have it and your only in CA, not very cool and really disappointed in the level of service."

Note: Buyer lives in a trailer in rural Montana and the package was still within estimated shipping time upon initial contact.

I was at my day job but contacted him back immediately and stated,

"Hi there. I'm not sure why this would be taking any longer than normal. This item was shipped via Fedex and I hand delivered to the Fedex shipping office myself immediately after the order. I am at my day job right now... (but) I will look into this. My apologies for (any) inconvenience in the meantime but thanks for pointing out the issue. "

Upon further research, on my lunch break no less, I followed up with the following message:

"Hi Erik,

So, I have a short break this morning and am using it to research your shipping issue. Currently, it states that it is estimated to arrive Friday the 26th (which is approximately 8 days from Fedex receipt) This item was shipped out Fedex Smartpost (which usually takes anywhere from 2 to 8 days) approximately 24 hours following your payment posting on the 17th. Note: I personally hand delivered this package alone to a Fedex receiving location after work at approximately 4pm on the 18th following your payment on the 17th. It was picked up at 8pm that evening by the Fedex and moved on to the following steps. I'm not sure why it is taking a full 8 days to ship. However, I did note this shipment cost was more than usual for this shipping service (which was the fastest of the economy services...offered (provided as) free shipping). I (can only assume) this was due to the address being outside the city (but wasn't sure).

Anyhow, economy shipping is typically anywhere from 1-10 days. The next cheapest option (which was not offered in free shipping would have been priority, which would have been at a cost of around $20+). If you had let me know it was needed sooner I would have offered this to you at an extra charge (due to it's expense). Anyhow, I apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience in the meantime."

Then upon noting it was finally received 48 hours later (within the estimated shipping time). I finally sent him this message,

"Hi Erik,

I just wanted to follow up on your purchase. My records indicate that you received your item on Friday, May 26. I apologize for any sense of unnecessary delay after I released the package to the shipper.

Nonetheless, I am glad you did receive your package and hope you are satisfied with your item. I will be leaving you positive feedback for your swift payment following this email. Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns via reply Ebay message.

However, do note that I will be out of the country after May 30th and will not return until July 6th, as I are traveling to visit sick family member overseas. Therefore, there might be a slight delay in any response.

Thanks again for your business and I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend."

I even followed up with leaving him positive feedback for his payment but after I returned home after the death and funeral of my family member to find he me this negative feedback.

"MEH SLOW SHIPPING WON'T DEAL AGAIN!"

In my humble opinion this individual is an unpleasant, inconsiderate, unappeasable buyer who is best not to deal with. I hope to save as many others as possible the unpleasant experience of dealing with him in the future.

Final Note: Even Ebay sided with me on this one (surprisingly enough) and ultimately scheduled removal of his malicious feedback. Further, this issue was reported to the appropriate agency within Ebay, although I do not expect much more will be done to deal with his appalling behavior thus I'm reporting it here as well.

The person buying it is a 1st class asshole. as long as you didnt specify any method its your decision. The buyer is another typical stupid asshole from eBay. Knowing full well its a weekend. Next time specify average shipping time periods not exact say 7 to 10 days, or 5 to 7 days, if they pay for any other services. And write a disclosure stating your not responsible for shipment time or how or when the package gets there once you had it off.
