Details: | This customer opened an e-Bay case stating that he never received the package. He did not contact me first before opening a case. e-Bay ruled in his favor as he said "he never received the package." Then when I provided proof of delivery and his acknowledgement that he received them, he changed his story and claimed that "they were not significantly as described". I only sell New Items, directly from the manufacturer, so the story about not "significantly as described" is an excuse to get a refund. (I'm not sure how he could first state that the item wasn't received, and then immediately turn around and state that it wasn't as described. Of course, e-Bay in their infinite wisdom always sides with the customer.) e-Bay asked the customer to return the package. Then he tried marking the package "return to sender" from the UK without putting postage on the package, which obviously never got back to us since the package had to come from the UK back to the US. We never got the package after he claims he shipped it. A month later, e-Bay insisted that he provide a tracking number proving that the merchandise came back to us (it didn't). Then the customer finally figured out that the package would not get returned unless he put postage on it. When we finally received the return, it was very apparent that the package was never opened -- our guess is that he didn't want to pay the Customs fees. We got our merchandise back about 3 months after it was shipped, but we are out shipping fees and a lot of time and energy. This was for an order under $50 USD! |
