BEWARE!! This buyer purchased a brand new Akoma Dog House Furnace through e-Bay in December. He opened an "item not as described" case 30 days after receipt of the furnace. I am authorized retailer, and all of the merchandise we sell is brand new direct from the manufacturer. With e-Bay's new policies, we had to pay for return shipping in addition to *free* outbound shipping. The return item was finally received in February 2015. I plugged it in, and it works perfectly, throwing heat out immediately.

We have sold many of these Dog House Furnaces without complaint or failures, but now the winter season is winding down and it took 45 days to get this unit back. This buyer will be getting a refund in full (including round-trip shipping charges totaling over $20.00) because of e-Bay's policies that protect dishonest buyers who misuse the policies. Our e-Bay store has a 30-day return policy and will take any purchase back even buyer remorse, but we don't typically pay for return shipping. In addition to having to pay for round-trip shipping which cuts into our profits and wages, we are tacked with a Defect from e-Bay through the hands of a dishonest buyer.

We have pulled nearly all of our listings on e-Bay for pet supplies, as the margin is too low to offer round-trip shipping for dishonest buyers like this.

Ebay is and always has been buyer sided and will always screw over the seller every chance they get. Consider opening up your own online store and start promoting your online stores elsewhere like ECrater, EBid, Bonanza. You dont have to put up with eBay's high fees and their BS policies. You can also try out a good bunch of people at Prestostore.com. $29.95 and unlimited products and they pay your Google Shopping Adwords Fees.

If EBay is going to pull that type of crap on you, then you have to assume every transaction is going to have a return on them. You have to put that return cost into your pricing because of eBay. Do it in such away if the return shipping is $20, then put the shipping csots as $20, even though its free shipping, you dont want to incure the cost of the return fee, or have eBay charge you more.

Would open an online store and start moving your business over from EBay to your own. If you get a few sales at your online store, thats fewer headaches you have to deal with putting up with EBay's BS policies and outrageous charges.
