Details: | Buyer owns a computer repair shop in Plainview TX, he purchased a replacement LCD screen for a Dell Laptop from me. After 2 weeks he opened a case that it was damaged in shipping. However the box was not damaged. In his claim he stated that he installed the LCD and then tried to sell the laptop but the customer was not happy with the price, it was after this failed sale he opened his case. Ebay required a detailed report of his install process. The damage is not visible, however he describes it as a cresent moon shape in the upper right edge. As if a palm was pressed on it. I asked if he pressed his plan on it during install. Ebay forced me to offer a refund, so I have as long as the original LCD is returned, I let the buyer know I took pictures of the serial/unit/part number. It has been more than a week and the buyer has not printed out the return shipping label, he did send an email saying he intended to leave the screen in and sell at a discount. I believe he may have already sold it. From all the emails it appears he opened a damaged in shipping case in hopes of getting a refund and keeping the LCD. |
