New, never used ice maker was delivered to her on 7/14/14 at 5:07 PM Eastern. Later that night, buyer opened a case with eBay claiming item was defective and said she had a repairman come out to look at it. I responded and informed her that ice makers can take 24 hours to produce ice after installation, but by the time I responded she had already shipped the ice maker back without authorization. Requests for the repairman's assessment went unanswered, and all of her messages were rude, short and peppered with insults.
After pressing her for more information, she finally admitted that the story was a lie; it was never defective and there was no repairman. She bought a different part a few days earlier that fixed her problem and she didn't need my ice maker.
Got the ice maker back and the manual that I sent in like-new condition was water damaged (wrinkled to hell) and wet to the touch. I said I would refund her the BIN price but not my outgoing shipping since she opened the case in bad faith and did not return the merchandise in original condition.
She rejected my refund offer and escalated to eBay, no doubt knowing from experience that eBay (being criminal itself) rewards slimy behavior. eBay of course sided with her and she left me negative feedback with a personal attack -- calling me a "Looney Tune" and saying the box smelled like "cat urine" even though all of our boxes are kept in a locked shed and no animal has ever come near them..
Avoid this liar at all costs.
