Had same scam.... iphone sale. shipped to 4 lewis circle, signed by someone at 7 lewis circle, said he never got it. lots of data on internet about these addresses, lots of lost money from scams. tons of different names, lots of different ebay accounts, the address is the key. reported them to ebay, postal service and fbi. they really should be shut down

Same thing, I sold and a Nikon lens (worth 650 dlls) and this user some how knew that I sold the item and told me to change the address, and I did it. Unfortunately seller don't have any protection in this case from eBay (very disappointed in the way they managed the case) and I lost my lens.

Oh my god! I am glad I checked this address on Google and this badbuyerlist showed up! The buyer was asking me if I ship to Russia, and I quoted him the shipping is going to be about 1,400 (because the buyer is wanting to get 3 units of the power tool i listed and weight about 75 lbs). Then, he/she came back with the address of 7 Lewis Circle, Ste 1087285, Wilmington, DE 19804. While I was trying to get a quote on FedEx.com, it couldn't recognize the address, so I tried to Google the correct form of address and found it is on the bad buyer list!!!! I am so grateful now that I did not fall in the scam, and I can just ignore this buyer's request. Thank you!!!

This is an email-forwarder address, shopfans.com. They are just forwarding parcels, that's it. Reason why you had such bad expirience are, obviously, people.

Addres is used by tens of thousands Russians, Chineese even Austrailian people every month. Yes, it is not hard to get, and yes some buyers are not conscientious. But it is not about address. Isn't it natural that for example 10 of 10000 of people will be a pain in the ass?

I use this service for seven years (yes they are old). I ordered from Amzn, Ebay, BB, local shops and everytime it was all fine. It is absolutelly individual.

My advise is to check rating, feedback history before sending. Ask for additional evidence and information, like documents, anything what you like. Scammers will never do that.

If you've met a scam, leave feedback, open dispute, do what you will usually do. But if you are refusing to send – you do it for thouthands of peole which are not even involved in situation.

Later that day after I canceled the sale on the basis that I do not send high priced items to a non-paypal / ebay address the person that the Paypal payment was from contacted me from another account with 262 feedback. So in this case it seems they make a new account pay with their paypal account, to keep communication from their good standing account. Sad.

This scam/person is still going around. I sold a very valuable ($400) electronic item, and mailed it to the PayPal Address given to me by eBay. Just four days later, and the real holder of the credit card has reported the transaction as unauthorized.

I'm not going to post the full address, but hopefully a partial one will come up in Google Searches. One thing that really stands out is the address. It's a long, 5 digit number - however, the address is very clearly not a apartment building. It appears to be a local small business. The new address is about a 5 minute drive from the one previously used here.

Wow, how interesting. I was googling for correct address "7 Lewis Circle" or "7 Lewis Cir" (since I need to specify it on Ebay) and found this page.

I want to say what I know about this address. I am a Russian guy who wanted to use this address for purchase. It belongs to "shipment redirection service" (shopfans.com). Often USA sellers don't want to ship items outside the country. Shopfans solve this for us. They receive parcel in USA, and then resend to Russia for a fee.

We specify our name and their address, and when a parcel came there, they know who is final buyer in Russia. That's why names is always different. That's how it works.

They also could buy for us (we just give them link and money for purchase). Maybe that's where fishy things starts. They use our money to buy and then claims they not received it. Ebay refund them, so they keep our money, yet they fulfill their task to resent ordered item to final buyer.

Maybe there is another schemes, I am not sure.

P.S. Another possible scheme. Shopfans site advises us to specify bough item link as soon as we ordered it (for "faster processing").
Now that I think about it... We specify links and sellers receive same message about someone sick and asked to send to another address. That's fishy... What if someone from Shopfans use that links to see if they want this item or no? As single person told in this thread he received message from different ebay account. If seller agrees to change address, our ordered item comes to another address and "7 Lewis Cir" receive nothing. Then we wait long enough and ask Shopfans where is my parcel? They say nothing came for you. Then we claim we didn't receive the item. This is also possible. I guess, better to call a Police, let them deal with it. Something really wrong with Shofans if different sellers receive same "someone sick" messages. Different peoples will create different scam stories.

Some random eBay user messaged me AFTER the item was sold to a different person, saying he purchased it but wants me to send it to his daughter @ 4 Lewis Cir. I played along and pretended to ship it there, have fun waiting and disputing something you never bought, rimar7016!

I received an email from someone posing as the buyer immediately after getting paid (by the legitimate buyer) saying I just paid via PayPal but I forgot to list that I want you to ship the package to my son at 4 Lewis ct Wilmington.
I shipped it to the address and had to refund thebuyer and I was out $860 for my drone. I only live 1.5 hours from Wilmington so I went there and demanded my drone back. It was still there and they returned it to me against their wishes after much yelling and threatening. They are a bunch of Russians. I spoke with the guys in the dock and then with Maya their boss over the phone. I took my package back and they threatened to call the cops on me at first and I told the to please make the call. When it was loaded up safely in my car the dock worker offered to purchase it back from me. Lol I saw their inventory and they had many electronics, big screen tv’s, etc but it wasnt that large of a warehouse.

Has any of the above information been reported to the Delaware State Police and/or Attorney General's office?

Ok I got a little interested in this. Shop fans.com does in fact have everything shipped to Delaware because there is no sales tax. Each user is given an address in Delaware and more importantly a “virtual” apartment number which indicates exactly who the package is going to. Might be worth a call to them as they can clearly track some of these scams.

Based on what Ive read from here i did not even bother fighting back because I've been selling for 5 years and ebay and paypal always take the side of the buyer and usps cant do anything once its been delivered and the police would pay years to figure anything out. Just be careful and never send item after getting this message its not worth the risk

Someone from eBay messaged me and tried to change their address after I sold an item. Wanted me to send to this address. Guess what- that wasn't even the winner of the item. They are just going after items that have just sold and sending the message to the sellers in hopes the seller doesn't check the user name and just changes the address and ships it.

These people at this address have stolen from every company their is & obviously alot of people. Seems odd they haven't gotten caught yet, its only a matter of time!!

Nov 12, 2019. Same scam. Original buyers address was only 8 miles from 4 Lewis Circle. Second scammer(address changer) account was located in Williamston, SC. If the second scammer is independent of the original "legitimate" buyer, it is quite a coincidence that the addresses are within walking distance. I sold an item. The address stood out to me cause it was in the same state. So, I googled it and found this. HOWEVER, the person didn't ask me to ship to a different address, 7 Lewis Circle Wilmington, DE was the address on the transaction. So, it's possible it's legit and someone just using the forwarding service to get the item overseas. Still makes me very concerned.

I had an interesting twist on this. I just successfully sold a Google phone on eBay. However within three minutes of the sale, I got an email from a Russian name at 7 Lewis Circle, asking that I make sure I package things right because it is for the man son. The email included the address at 7 Lewis Circle. Pretty pathetic attempt, since I already had an official shipping label from eBay, since the true buyer had already paid for it

There is nothing inherently wrong with the address, it is the address of one of the freight forwarding companies like Shipito (it's not Shipito, but I can't remember which one right now). I've used it in the past to be able to buy stuff from Amazon and eBay in the US and get it delivered it to South America where I was living at the time, when the seller didn't offer international shipping. Unfortunately, scammers often use these freight forwarders, but someone using this address could perfectly be using it for legitimate shopping, much like I have.

I had an order at my company last week, and there was a delivery attempt on Saturday. However there has not been another attempt made yet. I thought there would be yesterday or today. Maybe it will come back because now I am highly worried.

For clarity purposes, there are several so-called mail forwarders in the US and the company at Lewis Circle is just one of them. Mail forwarders do try to track and prosecute fraudsters but it it hard for them, for example, to confront a concerted (!!!) action of two bad guys. Also, users report integrity issues at the company since receipts for missing valuable items are signed by somebody "not working at the warehouse" (or "our warehouse is closed on weekends") which is more than strange, so this may all be because of insiders there.

Wow. So glad I googled the address before shipping to the winning bidder of my auction. After reading all this, I cancelled the customer's order, without shipping.

I phoned Ebay about my concerns, and turned out the buyer's account had been reported hacked just moments earlier.

Had I shipped the order, no doubt the true owner would have reported the fraudulent transaction and I would have been scammed. No free hard drive for you, Russian scammer.

They are STILL at it. The buyer paid in full with no complaints. I printed off the eBay provided shipping label and sent it the next day. The package was attempted to be delivered but not successful. The buyer said the package hadn’t arrived after waiting all day the next Monday. I immediately submitted an investigation request for that post office. A few days later I got an email from the post office stating that the package was picked up at the post office. And it was at a time earlier than when they wanted a refund. The post office update the tracking info and eBay has now stated it was delivered. They are scammers and I was dumb for not looking up their address before selling.
