Details: | Avoid selling to this woman. She bought a textbook. I paid to ship it. After 9 days, she decides she doesn't want it, and she claims that it's missing an access code. I call the publisher and confirm that the book is not published with an online access code, so there is nothing missing from my book. Amazon is also selling this book NEW and again it DOESN’T come with an access code. This woman opens a return on Amazon, and says that the book is “missing parts”. Amazon automatically approves it, and charges me return shipping as well. When I get the request for return, I immediately messaged the buyer and said that we could send a courier to pick up, because we are close by and it's a textbook and it's heavy. She didn't respond. Instead, she drove over to a US Post Office, stole a utility mailer, then drove over to UPS and dropped it off there. There was no padding or anything else in the stolen utility mailer, so of course the heavy textbook is damaged. In addition, the cover is now creased way back and the book is splayed wide open, like someone laid it out on a copy machine and copied it. She never responded to any messages. It took me 3 hours of work to put everything together for the claim for Amazon so we could just get the shipping back. So disgusted. I think this woman has done this before. She knew all the tricks and thank heavens Amazon themselves sells the book as new, or I probably would have lost the claim. Don’t sell to her. You don’t need the hassle, and you don't want to be treated like we were. She is from Peru, but currently lives in Westland, MI. |
