Buyer purchased item, asks for return. But then delays sending upon learning of seller's fraud detection system. Then, 90 days after initial sale, buyer demands money back with no proof of having sent item back. Probably a repeat scammer. This is the type who will message you occasionally for months after purchase and see if they can squeeze money out of you in exchange for not leaving bad feedback.

This buyer has now attempted to purchase from us with another ebay id:

amegpurchasing

The buyer's name is Adam Epstein, uses adam.epstein@amevolutiongroup.com or similar for Paypal

He will use every 'psychological' trick in the book to try to guilt you into a refund. Do not fall for it. Contact eBay, they are well aware of him. This person is a danger to the eBay community, and will try to extort money from you months after purchase. If he is trying to return something, make sure to inform him of a fraud detection system - you should be using one anyway! Such as blacklights, etc. He is just smart enough to be dangerous. The worst kind.

Here is my story with this guy. About two years ago, I had a Macbook Pro 17” for sale on eBay, this is the type of machines he sells.
He submitted a best offer, and did something that I was not aware. While the offer was pending, he requested my information and called me.
Was a weekend I was away from my computer, got his called. And he started to offer me to sell it off eBay. I did not lie his approach, and I was away from y house at the beach. He kept on calling and texting me until, I did declined the offer and blocked him. Yesterday he buys a logic board from me, does not pay, when I opened a case, he claims he sent a best offer for $135 when he bought by buy it now for $175. Then he starts telling me the shipping was too high. I told him to let the case close, that I did not wanna deal with him. After that he paid, I did refund his money, since I dont wanna deal with this person. I know he is going to do something fishy and blocked him. He sent me like 20 emails until I told him to leave me alone. Few hours ago I did relist the same item and, guess what, a user: cies_ashl , from the same area where he lives, and zero feedback, bought it. I will present this case to eBay, this guy cant continue doing this. People be aware of this new user: cies_ashl .

Total scammer... dont buy from this guy, he will harass you and WONT take pictures of the computer that he is "fixing up". Trust me ADAM, you are a total loser, cant manage a business and suck as a normal person. If you think that putting a credit card number online is a cool thing to do, then go F*uck yourself.

Yes, agreed. Tried buying a laptop from him, his trademark to making a better (scamming) deal is to send you an email requesting you to call him, giving his phone number. In my case he told me he would "give me a better deal." I called him and he went about telling me everything that he would do, I was surprised that he was so willing to work with me because a Macbook Pro usually costs 2,500 or more. I bought it! The next day I went and asked for pictures of the computer to see how it looked.. I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting a computer with a bunch of scratches on it and dents. He refused, and I went and decided that I wanted my money back. Right off the bat, he started swearing at me and telling me that he "spent all day working on the computer" going through "system checks" etc.. Right Adam, it doesn't take all day to do that, you throw in some higher capacity RAM, new hard drive and you restart the computer. Takes probably about 30 minutes total? I insisted that I wanted my money back and he told me that I was going to pay for his time. I filed a claim with Paypal and ALL night and for the next couple of days he started abusing my phone, texting me over and over and calling well past midnight. It wasn't worth talking to him. He left countless messages threatening me about how he knew the top guys at Paypal and that he would win the claim and keep his money. The Paypal claim left in his favor the first time! I ended up calling him and telling him that if I had to pay for it, then I want the computer. He told me that he had already given it away but that he would "remember me next time and give me a discount when I wanted to get a computer with him in the future. Now I am out over a grand, and I have no computer! I filed another claim and Adam E managed to come back and convince Paypal that a partial refund was OK... Still tho, no computer... I fought this for 2 or more months in total! I put a block on my credit card, which the claim fell through and the partial refund went into his account. I never ever had a computer in my hand... I finally called Paypal and told them what a partial refund means. It requires that I still get the thing I purchased and that I like it well enough to keep it. I told Paypal I never had the item in hand and that I paid Adam for nothing. Automatically, the customer service rep told me he is taking ALL of the money out of Adam's account for the purchase and put it back into my account. This action really got Adam mad and he started text messaging threatening messages (which I saved every one) about how he was going to sue me for being some fraud artist. He may be a seller of a very small/small business and try and act big, but he is certainly not bigger than the rules and processes of Paypal. I didn't respond to him and didn't care what he had to say. I will tell you this. His anger and manipulation makes him a very intimidating seller and after all was said and done (like right after) my email account was hacked into. Very surprising timing... Assuming that Adam is some sort of IT guy, I think he knows how to "pay" people back that can't do the business Adam Epstien's way. At the end of the story, I ended up buying a NEW open boxed Retina screen MacBook Pro 15 inch for a lot less trouble and fighting. I would also let you know that the pictures that he has up on eBay are apparently NOT the exact computers that are being sold. When I asked to buy the computer later on, he told me that the computer was already sold. Just all and all bad business tactics and very poor customer service/communication skills. I am sure if Adam had better speaking abilities and was better able to do an easy task like take pictures of the computer that takes 'hours to work on', I would have been 100% comfortable with buying from him. The true Adam is more of a douche bag scammer who says he has big friends in high places and tries to scare you into him getting his own way.

Adam, if you consider yourself a good business man, consider yourself wrong. Next time you are working on a computer for somebody, here is some serious advice. Turn off the TV and act professional.

For all that run across Adam and his company AMEvolution (whatever that means), do NOT accept his phone number, sent it directly to eBay and do NOT buy from this guy. After reading these other complaints, he seems like he is pretty crazy..

The word will eventually get out and Adam will be out of the business of selling Apple computers and in the business of selling toothpicks or next years' Christmas cards.

As for the person above, I think the credit card number is actually Adam E's lol. Good stuff..

WATCH OUT FOR THIS KID

Abusive and tries to take advantage of buyers/sellers alike. Will hack into your email and harass you with text messages and phone calls. DO NOT ALLOW HIM TO CALL YOU FOR BETTER DEALS OR ANYTHING. Good business men ABIDE by the eBay rules and guidelines. Turn his ass in to eBay if he gives his phone number on eBay email. Will threaten how he knows top people at PayPal and that they will side with him if anyone tries to make a claim against him. Probably just best to not even buy from this guy or allow him to buy something off of you.

FRAUD!! scammed me out of a gift card. ask you to send the number on the card. Then pays you via paypal gift only to do a charge back after he zeros the card. He will have someone in another state use the card. He needs to get a life and a job. Karma is going to eat his ass up in jail for all of the fraud. SAD case for a man.

Never..never..never give out your telephone number or email address to any buyer or seller on any auction platform!! That is stupid! If you are required to have a phone number on file use a fake one. They are very easy to get. Find a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service. Ebay will never know and you will be protected if some unscrupulous asshole such as Adam Epstein tries to contact you. Don't make deals outside of Ebay. That is asking for trouble and most of them are too good to be true anyway and a legitimate buyer/seller will never ask you to do that. Only the scammers will. Adam never could have scammed most of these people if they hadn't given out their personal info to him and tried to save a buck by going against policy and making a deal outside of Ebay.
