Buyer purchased a collectible toy figure from me for a little under $50 shipped. The figure was brand new and sealed in a blister pack. It has been out of production for 2 or 3 years now, and was sold for $10 at retailers when it was new.

She contacted me after she received the product and said she gave the toy to her son and discarded the packaging. Her son broke the toy and she wanted to know "what [I'll] do about it."

I messaged her back saying I sent a brand new collectible product and that because she clearly admitted her son broke it (not my problem, shipping company's, or manufacturer's problem), I cannot accept a return. Even major box retailers like Wal-mart, Target, or Toys R Us would deny this because she doesn't even have the original box with the UPC.

She then threatens to file an A-to-Z claim and a credit card chargeback unless I sent her "at least a 50% refund since you are not going to give me 100%" without returning the broken product.

I asked for a picture to be emailed as proof, she messaged me back asking if I was "calling [her] a dirty liar" and that I "should refund everything including shipping because the customer is always right."

Clearly a piece of dirt. I wish there were more legal things I could do to get this scammer in jail.
