Details: | The buyer ordered $588 worth of merchandise to the UK. We shipped the package to the address provided. UPS tried to deliver the package and collect customs and fees for months. The package was shipped on March 31 and they stopped trying to deliver on May 4. We even gave UPS other contact methods to contact them and nothing. Unable to reach them either in person or via email. The UPS detailed tracking clearly showed the many many many times they tried to deliver. Then the buyer resurfaced on June 4 asking where was the package. We told them UPS asked us for $338 to have the package returned to us, which we could not pay so the package was abandoned. Then this person refused to take responsibility and filed an Etsy case against our shop. We lost $588 because of this irresponsible guy who probably just didn't want to pay the customs and duty fees or possibly didn't even provide the correct delivery address. Very irresponsible and unwilling to admit their mistake. |
