We just fulfilled an order for this guy - 2nd order in a year and so far no problems recorded. We will be watching, however, based on all the evidence (above). One note to AMAZON sellers - if you purchase your shipping through Amazon and a customer claims an item did not arrive, you should refer the customer to the Amazon A-to-Z claim process. Amazon will investigate and will not penalize your seller account if the customer needs to be refunded. Happily, it's the one time Amazon has the Seller's back when it comes to scams.

This joker knows how the Amazon System works and is exploiting customers through this loophole. I sent out an order, despite having proof of delivery, he claimed and Amazon refunded! It took many years of frustration and investigation to find out who this clown was and he's been scamming legitimate sellers since 2011.

I just received an Amazon Return Request by this Scammer and he claims we shipped him another item instead of the $900 Gong our Distributor shipped him. The Distributor said they shipped the correct item and their posted weight on the shipment, when they did the final weight of the shipment to product the Shipping Label, matches the weight of the item.

If a phony item is returned, we will have too assign a restocking fee equal to the value of the $900 Gong.

To buyers worried about cancelling an order hurting their metrics, if you choose Delivery Address Undeliverable, it shouldn't have any effect.
Also, when I emailed jeff@amazon.com a few years ago with a problem with my account, I did get a response from the office and they did help me out. I think I will try with this too and suggest others do the same.

Please be careful of this lowe life scammer RAHUL SAWMINATHAN .. he scammed £100s from me by claiming non receipt of many orders and asked for refunds.. be aware that he makes a lot of repetitive orders from you then after one month he starts claiming every single order through the A-Z refund guarantee.. he has no shame and does not reply to any messages from sellers. I came across this when looking up the Pelham, NH address. I work at a retail store and was packing up a box of 30 pieces of baby food. No one orders that much. It was purchased by someone in Fort Worth, TX and being shipped to the NH address. The last name is just garbled letters and not an actual last name. I worked in data integrity and fraud, and this definitely looks suspicious.

Beware of this buyer, he also bought two items from me with expedited shipping and then file "item did not arrive on time" and got a full refund from Amazon. When clearly his order arrive within 3 days and before Amazon's expected date.

There must be nothing actually illegal about what he's doing. It looks like he just scrapes Amazon for content and reposts everything on his desertcart.ae site. And then if he can get a refund from us vendors... he makes even more profit. Evil genius.

(Part 1 of 2) To the person worried about their cancel rate, this is what I do for people like this:
First confirm the order on Amazon and use a tracking number from something you've recently received yourself (This will prevent a ding to your valid tracking rate, because all the algorithm is looking for is that there's a tracking number and that there's been updates to it).
Next, process a refund for the order (You will have to pay the return admin fee, but that's better than a ding on your metrics)

Finally, send the buyer a message letting them know you've canceled their order. Here's the template that I use:
Dear [BUYER_NAME],

We wanted to let you know that order ID: [ORDER_ID] was canceled. We're sorry for the inconvenience. A refund has been processed for the items. What went wrong? It’s possible our system automatically canceled for one of the following reasons:

He ordered in my Amazon store and after receiving item, he applied for refund and gave the reason that order reached late. Order reaching late is not my fault, he should be reported to Amazon and other platforms. If we keep quiet, he'll keep on doing it. Expose him.

The company I work for has had a little less than ten orders from him within the past 4-5 years, only one of which was fulfilled while I was working here. Why can't you order stuff from him, do the same thing back and make the Amazon A-Z work for you (or your friends)? If Amazon has to pay out on A-Z claims from 40 people who order from him, how long do you think they'll want to keep him as a seller?

I recieved an order from the same guy. The ship to address was 19 LUKENS DR STE 300 NEW CASTLE, DE 19720-2787. He got the order and stated that the package was received damaged with broken glasses. He asked for the refund but I asked him to show proof. I never got it. He even made another order for the same product and I cancelled the order.
By the way, when I got the order it says it was ordered by Adan but when I digged deeper I realized that the guy who made the purchase was Rahul Swaminathan. Be carefull with this guy.

Received order Feb 24. Delivered March 1. He opened claim of "Inaccurate website description" with only the vague comment "not satisfied" on April 9. Outside of return window. He has yet to actually ship the item back. My guess is that since it's baby formula it was confiscated by customs after he forwarded it and he's trying to scam his money back by filing a claim and hoping for a refund without return.

Received an FBM order March 3rd. Haven't delivered it because there was a mix-up and we were out of stock :)) When looking into who the buyer is I found this forum. He asked for a refund and we gave it to him.
Received an FBA order this time on March 16th. On April the 3rd he asked for a return stating "Product is not as described on website". Amazon gave him a full refund. The product was of course not returned yet.

RAHUL requested return very soon after. Item received back 2 weeks later unopened. Return reason: Inaccurate web description. I assume that the international shipping was more than desertcart charged. I guess we are lucky as we are only out the shipping both ways.

I received one order today from the same customer for the value of $140. I am going to cancel this order after reading all the messages from other seller. The buyer name in my order is Adanan DBXBJJHKNWQPODBXBJJHKNWQ.

He has multiples Amazon us accounts... the first order he say that Only received one of the items, and Im sure I ship two items, I send him a refund... and the same day order again from another account... same name, Im not going to ship the second one after read all of this....

I just receive an order from Rahul. He purchased a Hazmat item that he cannot forward to his customer overseas. Normally it is not returnable but we offered him the ability to return but he needed to pay return shipping. He requested a 50% refund. We offered him a 30% refund to keep it. He is demanding more of a refund. We'll just decline the return altogether after reading all these threads.

i just received an order as well. thought the last name was a big red flag and goggled it.

I have received numerous orders from this scammer. Filed an A to Z Claim for non delivery when photos showed it was clearly dropped at BlueWhite. Since then we've had multiple orders under different names - all picked up and cancelled. He keeps trying though, placed another yesterday. This time we marked it as shipped and didn't bother sending anything.

In 4 days I have received 4 orders with 3 different accounts from the same scammer on Amazon.com
I have canceled all 4 orders and now Amazon is threatening to suspend my account due to the cancellation rate.
I contact Amazon seller service and it is impossible for them to do anything.
They do not investigate the scammer and also do not help me to correct the status of my account.

This is the best thing to do is follow these steps before cancelling an order. Step #4 is critical.

1. Request help from Amazon. Enter into a chat with them.

2. Provide Amazon with the relevant fr4ud order number(s).

3. Amazon will ask you what the buyer has done that makes you think this buyer is fr4udulent. Advise amazon that your Fr4ud filter has detected fr4udulent activity and that other buyers have reported the same thing. Provide a link to this page.

4. Ask Amazon to cancel the fr4udulent orders their side. (Important as not to affect your Pre-Fulfilment cancellation rate) 5. Request a case ID from Amazon (Should be a 10 digit reference)

6. Every time the fr4udsters try to order from you again (they may attempt more than once) go over the above steps, this time with your case reference - rinse and repeat.

7. If enough people take the correct action to report these idiots, then hopefully Amazon will ban them.

The company behind this is called Desert Cart who uses this address to forward products around the world and lists products without the sellers even knowing. It pulls listings from various sites. Rahul Swaminathan is a founder.
