I am always suspicious of bidders who have closed multiple accounts, and one of his other usernames under an account closed in 2017 was "shipithome." Buyer outbid multiple underbidders on a silver bullion lot. This piece was owned by former coin and jewelry store owners who professionally tested all their estate purchased bullion. After receiving it, he tried to claim it was not silver. I allowed him to return it, and when it arrived, I tested it with acid, and it was exactly as described, fine silver. However, it had additional scratches on it which were not there when I sold it to him, and it came back with the case smelling strongly of tobacco. I gave him an 80% refund, but he opened a case to get the restocking fee returned to him. Of course, ebay made the decision in his favor.
