I believe this seller may also transact under the eBay usernames 1reneekruger and renee4924. Associated PayPal transaction name of Brent Alexander (believed to be Renee's current husband). Thank you! I was just about to ship something to this buyer, but I had a "bad feeling" about it. So I checked the name and found this. Thanks so much!

I'm going through this right now!!

Posted over 11 years ago by 50.36.X.X Report as SPAM

She purchased 5 textbooks I made a mistake listed one as brand new and its not i didnt notice until afterwards, so ever since end I've tried to contact her and get absolutely NOTHING back this infuriates me

Posted over 11 years ago by 50.36.X.X Report as SPAM

How is she managing to keep her positive feedback rating? I might be tangling with her presently. I have been a good ebayer for more than 15 years, so this sort of malfeasance concerns me

Posted over 11 years ago by 184.154.X.X Report as SPAM

Very simple, she keeps her good feedback score because she doesn't sell anything with the 1reneekruger account, you can't leave bad feedback for buyers, only sellers. She sells books on her other account.

Posted over 11 years ago by 54.241.X.X Report as SPAM

Btw the poster at the top is correct, those other accounts - 1reneekruger, renee4924 - belong to the same person as nursekruger

Posted over 11 years ago by 54.241.X.X Report as SPAM

The reason she has a 100% positive feedback rating is that ebay does not allow sellers to post negative ratings for buyers.

The reason her feedback is private may be due to negative comments left by sellers. Ebay also prohibits that, but does not enforce it unless the buyer complains.

wow, I just noticed that this same person has bought books from me twice in the past few weeks. No complaints after the first purchase. I guess I will wait and see what happens. Is there a way to not sell and deal with a known scammer?

Posted over 11 years ago by 97.64.X.X Report as SPAM

She has just made a purchase from me? Do I have to accept payment and ship the book?

Posted over 11 years ago by 98.249.X.X Report as SPAM

Amateur question here: Can I refuse to sell to someone? This person has bought the 5th book from me in one month, books that have no resemblance to eachother. That is what made me suspicious and googled her ID and then I found this discussion. So far no problems with getting paid and no complaints upon delivery but I am concerned after reading what you all have to say.

Posted about 11 years ago by 97.64.X.X Report as SPAM

She just bought one of my computer science textbooks and I am currently awaiting payment. I saw this and am starting to get concerned. Either she is doing a LOT of studying or she is trying to undercut college bookstores.

Posted about 11 years ago by 64.121.X.X Report as SPAM

She (her company/business) appears to have personnel and software to search and automatically bid/snipe on a large number of various books, presumably for the purpose of re-selling those books at a higher price. If your item is described accurately and you follow all of the eBay rules, you'll likely have no problem. If you wish not to sell to particular eBay members, you may add their user IDs to your blocked bidder list: http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BidderBlockLogin

Worst buyer ever!! Do not sell to this person. They will not respond to emails and they ignore phone calls. Have been trying to contact them for 2 weeks and no response. Address on ebay is from Florida, yet phone number is gone Kentucky. That's a little strange if you ask me. Seller beware!!

Posted about 11 years ago by 184.61.X.X Report as SPAM

Update from a previous post. The buyer won the auction for my book on 1/24. Today is 2/12 and payment has been listed as in progress through paypal since 1/25. I have received no payment and now if I will have to wait until August to TRY and sell my textbook for anywhere near the value I was trying to in January. I wouldn't recommend selling to this buyer.

Please let me add some information about this scammer - this guy buys books then dispute them as if were not as described. and guess what?

Posted about 11 years ago by 24.182.X.X Report as SPAM

This buyer buys books using an automated software. In case the software gets the wrong books or it messes up - he disputes the transaction. This buyer has another account where he sells all these books. If he bough a book from you - do not rely on the money received. Be patient and wait for him to dispute a transaction. This buyer is # 1 on my BLACKBIDDERS List

Hi! USPS.com states that Media Mail (book rate) is $2.53 for the 1st lb and $.45 for each additional lb. Could you please send any overage I’ve paid for shipping via Paypal or simply place cash inside of the book cover? Whichever is easiest for you. Thanks very much! I look forward to the package arriving.

Posted almost 11 years ago by 67.160.X.X Report as SPAM

Yeah um idk how you would know what try look like, so I don't believe that is them. I don't believe there is a "them," just a Brent, if thats his real name. I don't think it's software bc I had all my books individually listed and he still bid on and won several diff ones. Well after auction end I realized one of the books he won had been mistakenly listed as brand new, it was very used, a written in lab manual w pen! He paid a lot for it so I messaged him immediately and gave him the option for a refund on that book or asked if he wanted me to add another book frm the series to make up the diff. A day or two went by w no reply and no payment thats when i decided to google "nursekruger,"and only found 3-4 diff complaints, as this was 6mos ago. So then I was thrilled he hadn't replied or payed thought I was off free bc of the mistake and I've never been so happy to open a non-payment case thingy, haha so i did and didn't give it much thought after that. Well eBay gives so many days to reply on these things before they close it in favor of the seller or whoever opened it.. Well on the last day, ill never forget it bc my heart dropped to my *** when my paypal notification popped up on my iphone saying "you have received $587 from Brent Alexander," I bout died. Bc that name was exactly what the lady said it would be on the bad buyer list complaints I'd read. I was SO scared I left work on early lunch and called customer support. Long story short I tried resolving it through eBay & PayPal for a month and a half they kept telling me after the buyer pays they've done their part and its my obligation to do my part make the shipment. I told them I didn't want to and I was scared, that I didn't want one thing to do with this person, and that I just wanted to refund them all the money bc of no communication as well as what I'd found on bad buyers lists etc... They're last suggestion to me was to call the number on file and if he didn't answer to send it. I remember telling the guy it probably isn't a working # and he was like well you'll have to call and report it to us and I was like wtf ?? U want me to call this girl and if doesn't answer u want me to wait another 30 mins to call and tell u # doesn't work and that I still have to send it anyways? He was like that's your obligation as a seller, after the buyer does their part and pays its your obligation to do your part as a seller and make the shipment. By this point I've had it So I said its your obligation as customer support to SUPPORT and hung up! I was scared so it took me a good wk or two but I finally called. To my surprise Brent answered I asked for Renee he said she couldn't talk was there anything he could help me w and I was like I'm an eBay seller and she won a bunch of my books and paid a lot of $$ for them I need to clear something up w her. He told me Renee was his daughter, and that she'd used his card to get books for school. I told him one of the books was used and he paid over $100 for it, I wanted to be sure he still wanted it or what not.. He was like "yeah send them go head send them asap. It doesn't matter to us bc she was just telling me how bad she needs those books and she couldn't find them anywhere else and everyone in her class already has theirs." And since I knew this particular program only starts once a yr and only lasts a yr that she couldn't possibly just started it. So I asked what class she was taking, he couldn't tell me. Haha. So there was no way in hell after that convo I was sending him anything. I remember asking eBay I they could see the private feedback and he said of course but I wouldn't be able to tell you what it said I was like um I'm pretty sure I can guess what most of its gonna say and I really don't care to know anyways I just want someone to take a look into this account and stop this person.. He said we have special service people who are assigned to investigate these kinda things but we can't do anything for you unless u send the package.... I sent a package alright, with insurance delivery and signature confirmation! Haa thought it might be a nice change up for them.. to see how it felt. I scammed a scammer. And there was absolutely nothing they could do about it. After all this went down I decided since it was a lot of money involved I wanted to do my part and I sent the one lab manual that was all written in and answers cut out the back bahaa roflmao.. Um then I blocked nursekruger and relisted all those books for .99 cents and sold every single one of them for bargain deals.. I only had one more issue and that's when I listed the last book I had bc I somehow missed it earlier... And it was bid on for 7 days by 3-4 diff ppl and at the very last minute a nursekruger1 (or something like that w a 1 on the end of it) she won the book, and to my surprise paid immediately this time. (Im not sure if that was the exact user name but whatever it was i immediately knew it was same person) I think it's funny now but I was freaked out then bc my return address were on both packages and it was very scary bc its like he was watching my auctions but all that ended up happening was he paid twice for the same book that he still didn't get. Lol I was kinda starting to like this process.. Free money lmao no im jk and usually under any circumstance would never ever cheat someone outta $$ or be dishonest but i think most who have dealt w this user will understand and agree that he deserved it!! Anyways.. I blocked that username as well as several more that even looked like they may have been him, lol.. Like I said I was scared! And I reported to eBay that I blocked one username and he started bothering me w a diff user name so idk if they actually did something about it (like blocked his address frm my account or something like that) or he just got tired of losing money but either way I haven't had a problem in six months!! Just outta mere curiosity I decided to google search nursekruger, and I'm extremely sad to find soooo many more complaints. Bc 6mos ago there were literally only 3 or 4 and they were in 3 or 4 diff places too. It's just sad eBay's allowing this to go on and the same person is still getting rich from scamming poor people like me just trying to survive. It's disgusting. I really hate it.

Soo my thoughts after this ordeal have varied greatly but I don't trust to deal w eBay again.... they've got to know these ppl are doing this ESP if they can see the private feedback... which is bs anyways its like giving eBay users the option to screw someone over. Sounds like one big lucrative set up to me. Either way I refuse to be a part of it.

They are the team. Ebay buyer's name is Brent Alexander and his user's name is nursekruger. He gives the address to mail the item to Renee Kruger at 3449 Technology Dr. unit 203 North Venice, FL 34275. The way of purchasing the books from Ebay only bidding--most likely he has bidding program while he is an online media professional. Then he creates so much headaches to the ebay seller.. such as claiming that he has never received the item.. or seller sent him a dirty underwear.. .. etc.. hard to imagine his game plans... Then even before receiving the items, he is immediately listing them at amazon with the user's name of "Any_book" You can track his pathway http://www.amazon.com/gp/shops/storefront/index.html?ie=UTF8&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&sellerID=ASYDZOX0HKBSE

They just pulled the same crap on me. You live and you learn. My money is tied up on PayPal for 21 days. I'll never sell on eBay again.

Posted over 10 years ago by 173.245.X.X Report as SPAM

We were told that our package had been ripped open and the contents taken. What clever little scam artists these two are. Wish I'd done a little research before deciding to sell.

Posted over 10 years ago by 173.245.X.X Report as SPAM

I was proactive and called ebay and paypal to informed them that the buyers may open unethical claim.

Posted over 10 years ago by 108.162.X.X Report as SPAM

I was also suspicious of this buyer, and googled their name today before shipping a book that had recently been purchased by nursekruger. Thank you for this site. I called Ebay Customer Service, looking to cancel the transaction because I do not want to sell to these people. The first man I spoke with was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional, even though I was very polite and explained everything. He said that because they had put the money into my paypal account, I had the obligation as the seller to ship the book. I said I did not want to ship the book because they were scam artists and I wanted to nip this in the bud. I said that I would refund their money; I just didn't want a negative review from them, when THEY are the con-artists!!! The man put me on hold for 10 minutes after I asked to speak with a supervisor. I hung up and called Ebay again. The new man was very helpful. He even said that the previous customer service agent had not made any notes about my concerns!! So: if you are looking to stop all business with these kruger/brent alexander people, this is what you do: first, if they have paid you through paypal, go to that site and refund their money. THEN go to Ebay, and cancel the transaction. The buyer has 7 days to accept your cancellation. If you were to cancel through Ebay first, it would give you a negative rating since the money had not yet been refunded. I then blocked the seller. I will not be selling any other books on Ebay. It is a shame.

Posted almost 10 years ago by 71.3.X.X Report as SPAM

Due to their "pro-buyer" policies, eBay has made it so hard for anyone doing the right thing to keep their positive feedback. I just finished school and am moving, so I posted some textbooks that I don't want to take with me. I had no idea I would come across such a jerk over a couple of books. They bought 2 books that would have cost them over $30 on kindle - for $4 and had the nerve to request the change back on the shipping fee. If this jerk leaves negative feedback it will count against me. What a sleaze bag.

Posted almost 10 years ago by 66.87.X.X Report as SPAM

My name is Brent Alexander. I am the account holder for four ebay accounts - renee4924, nursing201, nursekruger and cbsnews. My wife and I own a small, family-run company which supplies used books to independent bookstores mostly in Florida and Georgia. We purchase books on eBay and other internet websites to fulfill the unique needs of the bookstores we supply.

Some time ago one of our competitors started posting to this website. We contacted an attorney and she basically said we probably couldn't do anything about it without incurring a five-figure legal bill. We don't have that kind of cash, so we just let it go.

As you can see by the amount of feedback we have on eBay, we have bought thousands and thousands of books over the past ten years. Our initial eBay account, renee4924, was started in 2000.

Since we buy thousands of books per year, the laws of probability would say that a few transactions will not be perfect and a couple of those have legitimately wound up on this site. We pay for every single book we buy on eBay. We do file a claim if we receive a book which isn't what was advertised and the ISBN number doesn't match the listing. Usually, someone will send us a book that is a previous edition from what was advertised.

If for some reason, the money is not in your Paypal account from a book you've sold to us and the book is marked as "paid", then there is a glitch and the money is sitting in cyberspace. This happens very rarely, but often the cause is that your ebay account and Paypal account are not correctly linked. eBay has fixed this problem recently, but it still occurs on rare occasions. You can call them and they will fix this problem and you can claim the money.

We do sometimes ask for a shipping rebate. This may be the case when you are shipping something by priority mail and the shipping charge is exorbitant. The most efficient way to ship books is by media mail from the post office. You have to ask for it, but it can be as much as $10 cheaper per package than priority mail.

If you don't want to sell to us, that's OK. Just refund our money, cancel the transaction and we will move on. You can also block us from bidding and buying your future items. To do this, go to the eBay search and type in "How to block a bidder". Keep in mind that we do bid on a lot of books and blocking us may keep you from getting a higher price the next time you sell something.

Thanks for reading this and hopefully we can do business together.

Well, I'm more than a little concerned too. I just sold them a book and I too received a request to refund part of the shipping costs. I simply googled out of curiosity, not expecting to find anything negative. Frankly, I don't want to bother with any of this and I may cancel the transaction and refund the money. It simply isn't worth the headache.

I just received an email to refund the shipping difference too. She tried to bully me into submission by stating USPS rates but failed to take into account tracking and a padded envelope. The difference? .12- which funded a meager portion of the padded envelope I purchased to ship her item. Out of curiosity, I too google her former ebay name and found this. I canceled my transaction and am willing to eat the FVF to avoid being scammed for receiving negative feedback from the yahoos. FYI to all sellers, she recently (6/27/14) changed the renee4924 user name to instagood. You may wish to revise your blocked bidder list. Personally, I added all 4 names above for good measure.

i too just got a request to mail via Media Mail (which I am in process of doing); I have no issue with that--but i dont want to open a can of worms with this--i just happened to come across this string when i googled the address. Its not a big transaction in my case but what is the concensus here?

Posted over 9 years ago by 148.188.X.X Report as SPAM

After reading all these cases, I was very concern about instagood's honesty, so this is what it kappend in my case they won one of my books and they did not pay inmediately so I did some research and I found this site, thanks God!!!, I called ebay many times, I cancelled the transaction and the following day I get a payment from them, I unmarked the payment and refuse it, previously I informed instagood that I have a strong felling that they are scamers and I did not wanted to sell to them. In the end I am not sending the book or refunding any money, if they want that they can deal with ebay (may be I do a refound when as a matter of fact their pay pal account is fake too)I was very clear telling them they are dirty the day before. I sold and ship the book to another bidder, I reported instagood, and hopefully they will be investigated and arrested; that is what they deserve trying to take avantage of honest and decent people, is not going to happend!!!!!!!

What is wrong with asking you to use media mail instead of priority for a book and requesting a few dollars in refund? That's what booksellers usually do unless the buyer requires fast shipment because media mail can be snail slow.

Furthermore, all the feedback as a seller is public, not private, and very positive. You folks are out in left field here. Sounds like buyer #1 accidentally sent socks! Read the feedback, no worries. I had positive experience with this buyer.

Posted about 8 years ago by 184.63.X.X Report as SPAM

I had a transaction with this buyer on February 25, 2017, and had no problem with them.
I wanted to leave this review because I saw a bunch of other reviews on this site saying that they are a fraud. As far as I can tell, they are not a fraud.

Well, well, it looks like Brent Alexander and his wife Renee Ryckman have a new scam going, https://registration.haashow.com/events/show/rec2#SeminarSpeakerBios

Apparently gone is the story of a do-gooder small business like claimed above, "My name is Brent Alexander. I am the account holder for four ebay accounts - renee4924, nursing201, nursekruger and cbsnews. My wife and I own a small, family-run company which supplies used books to independent bookstores mostly in Florida and Georgia." Now they claim to have run a $25 million dollar book business.

Why all of the aliases? Why the different stories? Why all of the different explanations of their relationship?

To comment on Brent Alexander's post above, if he is advertising media mail as the best method to ship books, he has directly contradicted himself in my transaction recently. He claimed that my textbook was counterfeit (it was not) and returned the book to me telling eBay that it cost him $12.91, whereas my original media mail shipment was only $4.71. $12.91 would be overnight rates for the size/weight of my book, and he did not provide any tracking to verify how quickly it arrived. He didn't use the eBay postage and eBay policy clearly states that any alternative shipping method is to be discussed with and agreed upon with the seller prior to it being shipped.

He is trying to scam people by claiming additional shipping costs and pocketing the difference. Stay away, as it's not worth the headache.

That's what booksellers usually do unless the buyer requires fast shipment because media mail can be snail slow. https://123gamesfree.com/tag/freecell-123-double/

We were told that our package had been ripped open and the contents taken. What clever little scam artists these two are. Wish I'd done a little research before deciding to sell. https://123gamesfree.com/tag/big-tower-tiny-square-hacked/

I just lost an apeal from ebay because they claimed my book was counterfeit ( I saw this happened to someone else as well on here). I asked for proof, because they supposedly "returned the book", but it was redelievered to their address??? ( I have NEVER not gotten a package... like never). They told me that selling a counterfeit book was illegal (duh... why would i sell one if i knew) and that they did not have to comply. SO they have their money back and I have NO Proof that it was counterfeit... if i had proof, I would understand and could educate myself further on how to prevent that happening in the future.... but I dont think that it was and I definately feel as if I should have proof given to me. Jokes on them, though, cause even if it were counterfeit, I have legalshield and they will have to show me proof hahahahaha

Just went through the same thing. I've never had a problem on eBay and this interaction was sketchy from the beginning. Got the same message asking about refunding postage which was bogus because I charged a fair amount. When I looked up the address (because I thought it was weird)... I found this thread... (thank you!) and it affirmed my hunch. I truly despise people like this and hope someone else wasted their time is wasted like they did mine.

I've never had an issue with this seller in 5 transactions over the past year. Not saying that others' experiences are not credible- only saying that mine was different.

I just had an issue with them for a book they collected a month ago. They claimed the ISBN was wrong and it clearly wasn’t: as a bookseller they should know the differences between ISBNs. My listing included loose leaf inside a binder with clear photos showing this and because my listing states it’s hardcover they are trying to dispute it. They also removed the binder for their photo. Upon looking this guy up, shame on you as a West Point veteran trying to scam people. Hold yourself to a higher standard and the value of integrity.

You can compare the product in a claim against the batch you purchased from the supplier as proof that the materials were in good condition when you received them.
