| Details: | I was selling an ipad on Amazon.com and this guy contacted me through amazon claiming his amazon doesnt work. He then suggested that I get paypal and he would pay me through that method. I was unfamiliar with paypal and was not thinking too much, when he claimed he paid there was still a balance of $0.00 in my account and he sent me an email that looked official. i preceded to read the instructions and shipped the package so that i might recieve my payment. Havent recieved it and he is no longer in contact with me. This was a $500 + dollar sale. International shipments cannot be canceled. |

Thank you - almost sold my iPhone 5 to this guy. Thought it might be a scam when he said he would pay more. Debated on whether or not to alert him that I knew, but I didn't. Then he will just change the email address.
I am hoping that others will know enough to check and find this helpful posting.

This same guy has just contacted me attempting to buy my iphone 5 from me, that I have listed on amazon.com. His name on amazon is James. He emailed me a few times asking if he could use his Paypal account to make payment bc his amazon payment account wasn't working. I told him I didn't have a Paypal account and he hasn't responded as of yet. I will not be sending him the Item, however, I do think I may send him an empty box with a post-it that says "Better luck next time, Scammer!" Dang, why do people have to try and throw shade with a side of scams!! It's no wonder inflation on items are through the roof!

This same guy did the same. I called him and he said he did send the money. I checked him out afterwards and traced the number. Thinking of reporting him for fraud

thx so much!! i looked up the number--just in case--and found this!! FYI, on Amazon his name is George B Zastrow. He changed his name to Dave when he texted me. I didn't say anything afterwards, but I notified Amazon and game his info/phone number.

He just tried to buy my iPhone 6 doing the same thing. Items actually posted on eBay and I told him he can bid for it on there or buy it outright, he said he couldn't but would send the money through paypal so I asked for an email and an address to make sure he was a legit person.
Searched his email address and saw this. Thank god for this site.
Said "You're on the bad buyers list. You're scum and you've ripped people off. I only deal with legit buyers.
Good bye."
