Details: | This buyer tried to keep the item I sold to them AND get their money back. Very persistent in their fraud, as well. Very dangerous to sellers. The buyer has opened a claim with Ebay for the item not as described (which was a blatant lie), and asked for a refund. To get the refund, Ebay asked them to provide a tracking number. Which they have using myhermes, but it turned out to be a fraudulent number. The item was never returned. Then they provided another tracking number, which was not found in the carrier's system so after the investigation, Ebay has closed their claim in my favor. On the next day, the buyer opened a claim with Paypal. The exact same thing happened, they tried to trick the Paypal into believing they've provided the tracking number, however the carrier and the tracking number fields were left blank! Of course, after reviewing the case, Paypal closed the claim in my favor without issuing a refund. Unfortunately it took me almost two months to recuperate the money from this sale and it has also caused me loss and damage because I wasn't able to use my Paypal account in the meantime. I am not a professional seller and I'm not rich, so this hold that Paypal placed on my account has also caused me various problems with my bank, because I was counting on the money from this sale. It's sad that there are buyer who blatantly take advantage of Ebay buyer protection as many sellers don't care about losing money and just issue the refund blindly. |
