Details: | This user bought a video game code from me. Two hours later, Paypal notified me that the payment had been chargeback'd via the credit card issuer for unauthorized use. Since I hadn't sent the code yet, I simply refunded the card. About 10 hours later, the eBay user messaged me, asking where the code was. LOL. The gall. Also, she registered the eBay account on the same day as the transaction. I noticed the next day that a seller left positive feedback for her. I messaged the seller warning them about the user and the chargeback. He replied saying she had done this to him, too. This is probably not a stolen credit card but rather a scammer using her own details for chargeback fraud. All of the info on her Paypal looks pretty legitimate: her e-mail domain is registered to a local phone landline company operating in the same state as the one listed in her Paypal address. The name given is associated with the address given when looked up on whitepages. She is probably targeting sellers of codes and digital-only items because Paypal only provides protection against chargebacks when tracking/delivery confirmation can be provided. |

Thats why paypal only covers physical items because like any other credit card company its the hardest thing to prove. You should wait a 24 hour period just incase idiots like that pull that type of BS. There's really nothing you can do, except match the IP address with the credit cards billable address. The best thing you can to is plaster all her information all over the internet. Ebay isnt going to do anything about it.

Another thing you can do is mail something to customers like a physical cd of the software via media mail with tracking. Thats the only way you can win something with digital.
