| Details: | This is actually a report of a seller who is currently attempting to commit fraud by selling a fake Rolex Datejust 36 Reference 116139 18K White Gold with 18K White Gold Fluted Bezel on Leather Strap (discontinued model). That is what this seller "soughdasiteaut8" is trying to claim it is, even though the seller did not articulate it properly. With a Buy it Now price of $808.00 USD, the seller is pricing it for a steal, but not too much of a steal so as to trick the beginner. Please take a moment to look up "Rolex 116139" on Google and do a logic check of whether this price makes any sense. While you are at it, compare the real watches with the fake in the listing. Here is a small list of incorrect markings and faults with the fake: 1. case flank angles are too flat 2. case flank is too thick 3. bracelet end links are fused rather than independent pieces 4. bezel is too thick in proportion to the dial (bezel:dial ratio) 5. leather strap stamp 6. "ROLEX" box lettering. Please, as an enthusiast, I urge you to be cautious. There is nothing wrong with buying on eBay or Chrono24 or other used or grey market dealers outside of the Rolex Official Retailer network. All you need to do is know your desired model inside and out, and do your due diligence. Also, as they say, "buy the seller." I would hate to see someone waste even $20.00 USD on this garbage fake. Oh, there's no real need to mention this, but if you do not believe me, I dare you to ask the seller to open the case back. The seller is not showing a picture of the movement, and this fake definitely does not contain a genuine Rolex 3135 COSC-rated automatic movement. Update: eBay removed the fraudulent listing a day after my report on eBay and on this website. It goes to show that reporting counterfeit products works. If you see something suspicious, take a moment to report it. It only takes sixty or less seconds to file a report.
