I posted this clients order by first class post the same day and I have a proof of posting receipt from the post office (Royal Mail).

He has contacted me to say that he has not received his order. I checked with the post office and they told me that there was no hold-up. I offered to send a replacement order by recorded delivery and pay out of my own pocket, however, he left me a bad feedback. I have contacted eBay, but as of yet they have not done anything other than hold onto my funds.

As a consequence I am in the process of closing my account as this kind of hassle is not worth it as I don't make enough out of the orders to warrant it.

Fortunately I had not left him feed back, so this morning I left him a bad feedback and that's upset him.

This guy is a bad eBayer as I have 'never' experienced any order not being delivered by Royal Mail with the First Class service.
