No nothing is for free, and when it goes is mainly because the seller did something to open themselves up for fraud. Tracking on every product - being shipped to a confirmed / billable address of the credit card. Make sure your policies regarding terms of sale, warranty policies and returns are clearly stated with time frames. Document and save all sales orders, emails, and tracking numbers for at least 3 years. Use a PDF program that will allow you to print screens and save them as PDFs. Stick to your policies and dont allow anyone to violate them. If someone files a dispute against you, dont pay for their return shipping, thats just another expense your going to incure and just a greater expense. After a refund for whatever reason, you at the least part should be at a profit margin over the sale of $0.00, not $0.00 minus the cost of the shipping for the return. Buyers want everything for nothing and want you to pay for their problems. Dont allow it nor allow them to get away with it.
