On the international buyer's first day on Etsy, he made a purchase from my shop. He asked a strange question about shipping which raised my suspicions but I went against my gut feeling and shipped the handmade item to China. I ship to China regularly and have never had a problem. Buyer files claim with Etsy that the item was not delivered. Based on tracking, Etsy denied the claim and in retaliation he gave me a one-star review. Clearly this was a buyer fraud case from the beginning and as an experienced seller I should not have shipped. It's ironic that the person stealing your stuff has the right to leave you bad feedback. If you see this buyer's name run away fast.
