Buyer’s eBay account is set to private so you cannot view her past seller feedback. Buyer purchased an $850 antique item. While filling out the automated eBay “print shipping label” the program asked if I wanted to include extra shipping insurance based on the value of the item, in the amount of $15.33. I immediately emailed the buyer asking if she wanted the extra insurance. I thought I was doing the right thing passing on this offer to her. She replied NO in a harsh manner and then started sending me harassing messages telling how I’d broken several eBay rules and what a terrible seller I am. I replied several times fearing that she was going to give me negative feedback. I explained to her that it was not me offering her more insurance but the eBay “print shipping label” program. If she didn’t want it, fine with me. Note: I did ship the item the day after she purchased it. Our transaction was finished, she received her item, however she kept sending me the harassing messages. Buyer seemed hysterical and enraged to me and reacted as if I had personally offended her and tried to cheat her. Again I explained that I in no way benefited if she were to purchase the extra insurance. Finally, I apologized to her for whatever I had done to make her so upset. Still, unfortunately, she did leave me negative feedback ruining my perfect record when in reality I had truly done nothing wrong at all. I contacted eBay to please remove the negative unwarranted feedback, they did not. The whole experience left me feeling humiliated and abused.

This seller is an unprofessional seller. After I purchased this item, she came back and harassed me multiple times to pay an extra fee for insurance with a buy-it-now auction (after I had already paid in full). I repeatedly declined the extra insurance charges and she continued to harass me. Ebay does not permit any addition fees being added after the auction closes and I made her aware of that. I did turn her into eBay as she broke their policies. So, this seller likes to play the victim when she was the one who harassed me and then went on and on about how sad her life was. The only hysterical person in this transaction was this seller and I only wish there was a bad seller site where I could put her on the list. I have over 5000 plus positive transactions on eBay, enough said.

actual email that was sent:
I am have been on the fence as to what to do with this purchase. You tried to bill me for additional costs after I had paid of this item. After several notes, I would have thought you would have realized what you were trying to do was against eBay's policies. eBay does not permit the billing of insurance fees after the auction has ended. You required immediate payment. If you wanted the insurance cost covered, it should have already been in the shipping fee in the auction when you listed. I buy on eBay all the time and know the policies. If the item had been lost or damaged, I would have been covered by eBay and PayPal. You, however, would have been out since you did not insure. I am only writing this note as you ignored my previous notes and chose to keep trying to bill me. I hope you will take the time and understand, you have made what should have been positive experience into a negative with what you did.
