This customer placed an order with us for emergency food during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are an online business and the amount of orders that came in caught us off guard and gave us no time to update our inventory, we are used to hurricanes and other emergencies that happen in certain states but we were not prepared for a nationwide online buying activation you can imagine how many thousands of orders, emails and phone calls we got at that time.
When the customer placed his order we were expecting a shipment from the Manufacture but that got postpone by them as they were also experiencing high demand and had to adjust to social distancing in order to keep functioning.
The customer was notified the same day he placed his order that there was a delay because of the pandemic.
Then he emailed us threatening with "legal action" - which we thought that was a red flag since how often you have customers saying that? we answered his email right away and told him the new shipping schedule for his order given by the manufacture and offered him to cancel his order if he was unhappy and didn't want to wait any longer.
He didn't call , he said he did but never left a voice message. He got upset because we didn't answer his email on time and went straight to Facebook and left a bad review. We contacted him through Facebook and explained the situation and how we have no control over manufactures circumstances. We again offered him to give his money back, his reply was to not cancel his order but he would still report us to the BBB and file a law suit against us and hurt us every way possible even after us fulfilling his order.
I'm sorry but that is not how we operate and we are not going to do business with a person that gets what he wants and still hurt people. So we refunded his order right away and canceled his order.
He then went and added more to his Facebook review , sent even more messages on Facebook to harassing point, threatening again with law suit and saying we have a contract with him and sending his attorneys messages. Also to send our info to his military network so they don't buy from us.
We received the BBB report to what we answered twice and thought was done , well , he kept on going with the case still asking for his order , saying he is going to buy it somewhere else and bill us for it. We didn't answer his last nonsense because we actually need to work and move on, since he didn't get the last response , he now went to the leave a bad review on the BBB page. All this after 3 weeks of refunding his order.
Save yourself a headache and don't do business with this person, money is not worth dealing with all this nonsense.
