Ergode is the book selling arm of Ami Ventures Inc. They are a bookjacker. They have no inventory. They list millions of books that they don't have, often at inflated prices.
When they get an order, they try to order a cheaper book from some other seller who really does have the book in stock, and have that seller ship to the customer. Often this means sending a 'very good' book to a customer who ordered a 'new' book.
If they can't find a cheaper book, they don't refund unless forced to do so. They hold the customer's payment, hoping that the customer will forget about it or just give up on it.
