Customer placed multiple orders and we require high value items ship to a depot which this person chose. they did not provide a house address at any point on their customer profile. A depot shipment means that the person picking up the items must show a valid photo id. In this instance the person had faked the ID completely. Luckily we are protected for 99.9% of fraud with one of our card processors and as such, we are unaffected but still investigating.

We are sharing so that other may protect themselves. This person was ordering high value musical instrument products over a span of 6 weeks and at first seemed perfectly normal.

The gig was up however when Royal bank investigations branch contacted our business to inform the person had stolen the identity of a senior citizen, was using a fake photo id and was having a shopping spree.
