This buyer is located in Alberta Canada. I am an ebay seller located in British Columbia. I am required by law to collect the appropriate sales tax for buyers from Canada (tax varies from province to province pursuant to the Tax Act), and remit those taxes to the Canadian Government. My auction listings clearly state that Canadian buyers are required to pay the required sales tax for their province. In this case, the buyer in Alberta was required to pay 5% GST sales tax on his purchase. The buyer claimed he had never previously paid sales tax on any ebay purchase. The buyer tired to bully me into removing the sales tax from his invoice. When I refused, he ultimately paid the sales tax, then he retaliated against me by leaving me neutral feedback. This kind of bullying tax evader is a danger to any law abiding ebay seller.
