Details: | I sold an expensive Magic TG card to this Mexican living in Texas.
He knew there was no tracking number available from Sweden for a low shipping cost on the item in question. He used the lack of tracking number to scam a full refund. So he basically stole the card from me and made me pay for the shipping - as well as seller's fees on eBay. Swedish mail is expensive but really reliable. The item got to the USA allright. I have plenty of satisfied buyers in the US and no unhappy buyers anywhere in the world. Like I said - Swedish mail is really reliable. There is a possibility someone in his high risk area near the Mexican border stole the item. But even if that was the case he's still a bad fish because he knows where he lives and doesn't take any precautions. Doesn't ask for insured mail etc. Furthermore his whole modus operandi was suspicious. No communication whatsoever and then wham - a demand for full refund. When a buyer is in distress they communicate and ask for details. I certainly do. He was never interested in that and when I started to ask him about details everything came out sounding as made up afterthought from him. The thing is that he had received negative feedback as a seller several times, uncomfortable responses from sellers too and I had a flawless feedback. He had negatives and angry neutrals and I didn't - yet eBay decided in his favor on word alone. Ebay-Paypal are too uninterested to investigate calculated scams properly. The evidence is there but they don't care to look. This business made me end an expensive auction. I just feel totally disgusted atm and had to write this. In conclusion - after your auction ends - google who bought it. If you ship without tracking number because you must people with low or no morals will basically steal your item. If the google result gives you a bad vibe - refund, block and relist. It's better to lose a little than to lose the whole thing. |
