In the 8+ years that I've been a seller on Etsy, and in the 40 years I've been alive on this planet, I have worked very hard, and maintained a serious commitment to honesty, kindness, and integrity in all of my dealings, with all people, including you. My five-star Etsy shop rating reflects this. Please know that I have contacted both my lawyer and Etsy about the libelous statement you have published here about me and my business. I have certainly neither scammed anyone nor screwed anyone over. I have a record of our entire correspondence, as well as the invoice, which disproves all the lies you’ve published above. I did send you a pendant that I inherited from my grandpa for gold plating. I reached out to you with a message before I sent the item, because I wasn’t sure what the base metal material was, and I wanted to make sure you thought it could be plated. You assured me that it would be fine, so I sent it. When I got the item back, it was indeed greenish in color. This is because the dark base metal was completely showing through the yellow gold plate. Contrary to one of the many lies you have told about me above, I definitely did not demand a refund, nor did I receive one. I very politely messaged you asking what your refund policy was. This is what I wrote:

“ I'm disappointed because this was something I inherited after my grandpa died, and I was hoping to make it finer. It Is there anything that can be done to remedy this? What is your refund policy?

You offered to re-plate the item. You also offered to refund my $5 shipping cost, which I accepted. This is what I wrote you in response:

“Wow! Thanks, Holly. That sounds incredibly generous of you and I'm truly grateful for the time you're willing to take and for the extra gold [plating].

So I sent it back to you, and you plated it again.

In all honesty, the re-plated piece still did not look very nice at all when I received it. But I never said anything more about it, not to you or anyone else. I did not ask for a refund. And I didn’t receive one. I paid full price. I have the final invoice proving as much.

In addition, I left the following review on your Etsy shop page, which is still (as of Jan. 9, 2019) visible for all to see:

“Holly went above and beyond & out of her way to ensure that I was happy, and I am so grateful for her outstanding customer service.”

I accompanied this review with five stars, the most a person could give. I did this because I appreciated you taking the extra time to re-plate the piece, and I believe in supporting my fellow artists on Etsy and elsewhere.

What on earth would motivate you to post this totally dishonest and nasty review about me here? I paid you for your services, left you a 5-star review, AND treated you with nothing but courtesy and gratitude in our correspondence. You must have some sort of mental issue, and for that I’m sorry, but I have to defend myself and my business.

Contrary to what you wrote here, I most definitely never sold the piece I inherited from my grandfather, which you plated, in my Etsy shop! It is still in my jewelry box and always will be.

Also contrary to what you wrote, I do not sell, as you claim, “many ‘gold filled vintage’ items…these are cheap relatively new mystery metal pieces plated that are listed as ‘vintage gold filled’ at high prices, after she's screwed over the sellers who did the plating!”

I’m not sure if you are getting me mixed up with someone else, but this isn’t what I do. While I do very rarely sell vintage pieces that are already hallmarked (stamped) as being silver, gold, or gold-fill, the bulk of my inventory consists of 100% handcrafted silver and gold pieces that I make with my own two hands in my home studio. The only time I have ever, ever had anything plated was the time I sent my grandfather’s pendant to you, and that was for my own personal use ~ not for selling.

As I stated above, I certainly have never screwed you or anyone else over, nor have never scammed anyone. I have been an artist on Etsy since 2011, and an artist, writer, and teacher in my community for much longer. I am committed to honesty and integrity in all areas of my life.

I have a record of our entire correspondence, as well as the invoice, which proves everything I’ve written above. I will promptly post more excerpts, and take much more serious measures, should you choose to leave your libelous statement posted here, or to publish additional ones. I have worked far too hard to have someone such as yourself come along to damage my reputation and livelihood with blatant lies.

Obviously the truth hurts. There must have been a reason as to why she looked herself up an here. Posting all my information in retaliation. Since I stand by my statement, I don't care about my information being posted. I had to block this lunatic on Etsy for her outrageous antics. Her "rebuttal" is indicative of what it was like dealing with her. To all sellers if you don't want to have this insanity done to you stay away from her. I'm sure she will post more "rebuttals" more venomous. Her holier then thou attitude taints all her dealings. There's a reason I listed her on here. If she can't learn that her behavior is the reason, and change then she will do to you exactly what she is doing to me here. Yes, I refunded her shipping, & replated the item, that's just good business practices, and customer service. I didn't read her entire rantings for accuracy as I'm sure it's ascued to her side. I've given this more then enough of my time. Good luck sellers if you deal with here.

Ooh... this is a tough one. Both parties are articulate, intelligent and lay out plausible cases. Usually you get one side or the other misspelling and using all caps and stuff, and you can kinda figure out who's lying. This is one of those rare situations where either person could be telling the truth.

Let's take advantage of that. You two call it a misunderstanding and just let it go. It's obvious you both feel wronged, and there's nothing that can be done to remedy that.

No, it sounds to me like the person who did the work can't digest that she did shoddy work and then bullied her customer. I get such an icky feeling from the way she communicates and insults others. She takes no responsibility and has no proof of what she attacks her customer for; whereas her customer has intelligence and has documented her sane correspondence.

This buyer has been harassing me not only on this site, but on others, as well as personally through the mail for over a year now. This is the maturity level of this buyer. To all sellers, if you don't laud her with false praise. Do not have an opinion of your own. This harassment she will do to you. A year of harassment, for having an opinion that doesn't put her on a pedestal.

This is a scam to watch for if you are looking for a highly popular item that is generating a lot of media attention, has a limited release, or is difficult to get elsewhere.
