Hope you come back and read this! First off, your dealing with a total unknown person and your selling a high ticket item thats classified as high risk merchandise. 2nd, something of that high value you >>do not ship right away<< because it takes about 10 days or so for the transaction to come back if its in fact a stolen credit card. The question is, if you bought it off EBay, it was Ebay's legal responsibility to ensure you arent the victim and PayPal as well. They are the ones that brought you that customer, they are the ones that were supposed to screen that buyer. The question is did you ship it prior to the fraud claim, and what is the actual chargeback code that you got.

Since you have information there, and again, it is a high ticket item, did you bother cross referencing the information vs public records, if so, you would of noticed that the phone number isnt that of the person. You should of called the number asking for the person on the sales order if they were home. Then have someone else call, or listen to the recording to see if there's any sense of suspition.
The person on the profile is from New York, but the phone number isnt. You should of done research, but then again hold paypal and ebay legally responsible for it. And you never said if you shipped it or not. The person that you posted is an actual producer for NBC news, so we seriously doubt it was her.

Yeah... that account was established the same day you sold the laptop. There's no way I'd sell a big ticket item to a brand new user. That having been said, that phone number is Long Island, and area codes don't mean much in NYC.
