Buyer claimed item was received and the box was empty. Asked for a refund, when I asked for proof she filed a return with eBay and was immediately refunded. She later sent pictures of the empty box in perfect condition but taped up with medical tape (the kind used to tape in an iv - she was a healthcare worker btw). Told me a story about how she has terrible porch pirates in her area, I asked then why did they leave the box and take the trouble to tape it back up? She then changed the story and blamed the post office and said it was delivered to her that way so it must have been someone that works there. I called the post office, the woman in the office was very kind and called me back after speaking to the driver - he said it was delivered in perfect condition and even gave me the time of delivery, which was about half an hour before the buyer sent the message saying the box arrived empty. I let the buyer know I was filing a police report and postmaster complaint because stolen mail is serious and I wanted the thief caught and she LOST HER MIND. She sent me multiple emails saying she was innocent, then contacted eBay to say I was threatening to send the police to her house. I blocked her and did eventually get my money back from eBay (because they should not have refunded her "return" without investigating it...took over a week though).
