Details: | This user "bashsnk7" bought an Unlock Code for a Sony VAIO laptop (model VPC-CW21FD, serial number: 3000702), a Onetime Password which is generated from a 16-character KEY (is decoded from it). This buyer had problems doing Check-out through eBay and asked if he could send payment directly through PayPal, I didn't see a problem with that so the next day I received the payment and sent him the information within 5-15 minutes, the "Onetime Password", a few minutes after he confirmed that his Sony VAIO laptop was succesfully unlocked, almost immediately received an e-mail from PayPal saying that they've put a Hold for this payment and about 10 days after received this: "PayPal reversed this payment because of a dispute or payment review. The money has been returned to the sender's PayPal account". So far the buyer has not responded to my e-mails.
As of today I have sold more than 110+ codes and all of them have worked. |

Is "bashsnk7" the user who wronged you? Did you put your own username on this form? That might confuse people, its supposed to have the bad-guy's username. .... Anyway, so sorry to hear about your experience. I'd advise against settling outside ebay if the person has little or no feedback as in this case. It's too risky. I've had bogus paypal claims before. It helps to be very proactive and call eBay and paypal. They will at least take note of the suspicious activity and it will help bring down the person's account. This part may be difficult but it helps to be very polite and let the other guy be rude, eBay reads the messages and it'll make the other guy look bad/wrong. Also, you can set up your account to automatically block bids from people with unpaid strikes or account violations (which this person may incur). Go to the "Account" tab in my eBay, click "site preferences", then "buyer requirements".

They are both the same guy, "solidsnk" and "bashsnk7", I opened a report for both usernames, forgot to change the username on the details. I've just have modified the "buyer requirements", previously did that when I listed the items, did it on each one. I'm selling a service, information, feedback has nothing to do with it, is about principles, the first claim was from a buyer with feedback of 51, currently I have another claim in process from a guy in Austria with feedback of 375.

Oh ok, I see. Good, the bad-bidder autoblocker has helped me a lot, hope it helps you too. I know it stinks how skewed ebay is. Ebay once allowed a person who even they agreed was crazy to leave me neg feedback (the person went so far as to sexually harass me in ebay messages). Ebay didn't remove the feedback but I had their account flagged for harassment. I totally get the principle thing! I always do everything I can to "be the salt of eBay" as I put it lol.

From my experience, as a seller it's hard to win a case on eBay, since to them "the customer is always right". Seems like many users are abusing eBay Buyer Protection program, lately when you leave feedback there's an option to report buyers who have violated eBay policies, there're many options available and you can submit various reports for the same buyer.

Right. Ebay doesn't care. They just want their cut of the transaction. As long as money moves (even if its a scam), eBay gets a cut. They realize sellers are stuck with them but buyers can go somewhere else, so they cater to the buyers.
