Details: | Item was specifically as described. Goods were sent CPT-Richmond (INCO Terms 2010). Once goods were rendered to the carrier of the buyer and a receipt was provided, seller responsibility ends. Buyer has the remedy of filing a claim with the carrier of the buyer. Goods were provided to the carrier of the buyer as new and unopened. Any element of damage to the goods are to be directed to the carrier of the buyer. This complaint seems to be misdirected to the wrong party. In the meantime, I have uploaded to Paypal copies of the Greyhound tracking information as well as the Greyhound POD. Buyer was requested to provide a copy of a bill from a licensed HVAC company stating that refrigerant was not present in the unit. So far, no such bill has been provided. Paypal decided that I should foot the bill for this mess which is crazy!!! |

this address is for Greyhound Bus Station! eBay should have checked buyers' address, NO sellers' protection at all...

Unless you negotiated the shipping terms with the buyer, you chose the carrier, and that's your responsibility. If that's a problem for you, you need to make your customers provide their own freight, and good luck with that.

Goods were not sold to include delivery as the terms were CPT-Richmond (INCO Terms 2010). Terms were revealed to the Buyer numerous times. Buyer is responsible for the goods once provided to the Shipper of the Buyer. Pointing back to the Seller for issues that took place after goods were provided to the Shipper of the Buyer is a non starter. Seller responsibility does not extend past making the goods available to the Shipper of the Buyer. If Buyer insured the cargo, Buyer would then have recourse with the Shipper. I do not understand why Buyer did not file a claim with the Shipper as was suggested to the Buyer at the time.
