Details: | This customer initially had different billing and shipping addresses listed. We contacted and told them we only ship to billing address and they then asked shipping be changed to the same as billing address. They used a different first name: Thor McKinnon in the Send to. As soon as they received our item (order was for $101.50), they initiated a chargeback as "No Cardholder Authorization" and claimed in the chargeback that the card was counterfeit. It does not pass the logic test that a card would be counterfeited to make a purchase and then send it to the address of the card holder, but due to bank policies regarding the cost of fighting a chargeback, it would be more expensive to try and fight this than to take the loss. I was never contacted by the customer after the initial email asking them to make the shipping addresses the same as the Address Verification System (AVS) validated credit card billing address. Attempts to contact the customer by phone or email after the chargeback were all met by no response. This appears to be "friendly fraud" and I hope it serves as warning for others. I have blacklisted this customer for future business. |

I had the same buyer. They were able to get in contact with me and they said that the issue was their wallet was stolen and they had all of the information in there. They had footage of the package being delivered and stolen from their doorstep and filed with the police. So the people that stole their wallet shipped the product to their house and then stalked it to snag the items.
