Well the fault was yours to begin with. You never considered the fraud with international sales and set no limits to the $ amount you were willing to risk by selling a high priced item overseas. Did you ever stop and wonder - what if!

Did you also consider or bother to take into consideration having the item insured for the full amount - something says you didnt trying to save items.

Well now you know the hard way with fraud and the risks of selling international. Next time dont set such a high dollar amount for international sales - who cares of the high amount its the risk you have to worry. If it was the credit card company then your out the loss.

Dont blame Paypal would blame Ebay 100%. If it was soley a PayPal transaction the buyer would have to provide proof of return via tracking. And that would cost them a few hundred bucks to send it back.

Your basically saying that the buyer sent a letter a few ounces with tracking and submitted tracking as proof of the return? Thats fraud. If there's any type of online tracking dispute the decision of the claim and fax information clearly showing the letter with the associated tracking information. You state with proof that the laptop weights 4 lbs for example, and the tracking results show only 2 ounces. How could that be?

Hopefully you were not that stupid to ship a product out while the money was still in your PayPal account, if so, then yeah your screwed and that was very dumb. Never ship products out until the money is phyiscally in your bank account never before. If you shipped product and the money was in your bank account, your paypal account is negative and thats it, they wont go into your bank account.

Ebay isnt going to do jack shit about anything. Its PayPal that you have to take it up with. Dispute the decision and show the evidence. forget about eBay.

Well, this thieft shipped package to a non-existence address so return package is lost. I am a platinum seller on ebay so I have some experience to deal with that. I just want to warning other seller. I am appealing with both ebay and paypal to get my money back. I also reported this thief to ebay/paypal/police in both australia and US/ic3.gov. Paypal is ridiculous because paypal refunded thief and close the case even though return package has not been delivered to me. I called paypal and a Paypal supervisor said that paypal Australia only required tracking number of return package to refund $1,592.24 USD to buyer (before return package is delivered). It's ridiculous.

From the tracking information of return package
https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction.action?tRef=fullpage&tLc=1&text28777=&tLabels=LK909914773AU%2C
you can see that return package was marked as “International Letter”. From the Australia Post website
http://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/size-and-weight-guidelines.html ,
maximal weight for International Letter is 500g (which is about 1lb). So this International Letter Package is obvious not enough for my laptop.

wwii_1939-1945 spent $540.20 to buy my router bits on Jul. 5, 2015. He changed his name to jofo2030 on July 10, 2015 and he received my package on Jul. 13, 2015. He claim my items are oversize and want to return. He open a case on paypal on July 16, 2015. Paypal return $540.20 to him on Jul 29, 2015. He send a package with wrong name and wrong address. Package came my town on Aug. 5, 2015. Post office can not deliver. I check this package on Aug. 10 on my local post office. I got a photo copy for this package. This package is less 2 lb and with wrong name and wrong address. Also returning address is wrong and not exist on Australia. I go to paypal to show photo copy and usps tracking report. I have to call paypal again and again. Final I got my money back on Aug. 16. 2015. This is theft and want to steal your money.

I also got a photo from USPS post office of the return package. Theft shipped to non-existent address which is totally different from my address so package was lost. I have sent that photo to Paypal but Paypal refused to refund me $1,592.24. Paypal just sent me an email "Your buyer provided sufficient documentation to show that the item(s) were received significantly different than originally described. As a result, this claim was closed in the buyer's favor." That is very ridiculous. I still have to keep calling paypal to get my money back.

You need call paypal to open an appeal. I try open appeal on the case page. that is not work. You should upload your document such as paypal invoice, shipping invoice, photo copy of package, USPS tracking report..... I got tow or three e-mail same as yours. You just keep call in to talk your case. I think I talk more that ten people. Final I meet a nice lady. She listen to me and make a decision to send my money back. This is paypal fault. They should look this case to stop this theft.

jofo2030 is not a registered user now. He may change another name. We should find out this international theft later.

Why not wait until it comes up for sale on eBay and report it as a stolen item?

Yes, eBay allows this scammer to thrive because eBay gets their fees whether or not the seller gets scammed! eBay is in partnership with these scammers profiting from all transactions while sellers take big losses! Should be class action lawsuit against eBay and Amazon. Very corrupt companies they are!
