HEY THIS GUY STOLE MY EMAIL WITHOUT ME KNOWING! He must've been a really slick hacker. I hardly use that email account he hacked. He signed up as a "d q" (username q.d4294) and then this account with MY EMAIL got suspended by eBay.

Below are the email footers of the emails he incurred under MY email (very angry). To avoid spamming I blanked out the domain, which is "hotmail.com". The first 3 emails are dated 9 May 2015 and the final email 10 May 2015.

I also got an email through Ebay from this "person" at johnsimon96@yahoo.com wanting to pay more to get an item and ship it to Malaysia. I didn't ship the item. I was wondering how I might get scammed if they did pay me through Paypal and sent the item. I figured they would claim they didn't get it and Paypal would refund their money.

This is the brand new-opened-yesterday (June 6 2015) Ebay account the scammers are using: m.my662. Beware!

Here's how the johnsimon96@yahoo.com in Malaysia scam works. They offer more money to get out of the Ebay system. You send an invoice, they send a FAKE PAYPAL RECEIPT saying the money has been put in your PayPal account when it hasn't been. You ship the item. They never pay. Avoid these scams by checking your PayPal account and making sure the money is there BEFORE SHIPPING.

Without such communal chatter of experiences, many more would experience this wrongful act. Thank you all for sparing a moment out of your day to share. You helped to educate & prevent another attempt at defrauding.

I was suspisious of the transaction ID and the name in the paypal email. I did not send him anything.
Paypal never say Hello xxxx@xxxx.com etc.
They will always say Hello (first name)(Surname)
If you are not sure Telephone PAYPAL support. they can check any paypal transaction ID. Also the ID will have a link to the trasaction on paypal, not a false webpage. DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK. use copy and paste to notepad to check that it is correct.
People be safe and smart.
If you get an e-mail offer to buy, IT IS AGAINST EBAY BUYER POLICY, and you can report them.

After I googled his name, I found this thread! I made formal complaints to eBay and paypal. If it looks fishy and smells fishy...it's fishy! The buyer had no history and then the user profile was cancelled when I tried to find them on eBay.

I got a message from him on eBay today. I was foolish enough to go all the way as far as requesting payment from him from my PayPal account. I thought something was up when I rcvd a fake Paypal email with a lot of grammatical and spelling errors so I googled the address we wanted me to ship my items to. I found this site. Thankfully, it saved me but does anyone know what happens now since he has my Paypal email? Did anyone get hacked? He keeps messaging me on eBay as well about payment.

I got the same message on eBay. I actually shipped my sneakers but I called USPS. Once it leaves the U.S. all you can do it hope customs gets the Compliant Note from our customs to send it back. I'm never shipping international through PayPal again.

When this guy scammed me, I caught it just in the nick of time after calling PayPal and finding out the funds were not in my account. They assured me that he would not be able to get into my account, for anyone who is concerned about that part of it. Customs was able to get the package back to me. I was so happy to see that package at my doorstep. Customs said without it being registered and only with the customs #, there is only a 50/50 chance of getting it back. It was a GOOD DAY!! When I spoke to eBay they said he has been doing this for a long time and they just keep shutting down his account but why don't they contact the other party involved to let them know what's up is what I don't understand!! The only reason I contacted him outside of eBay was because I was not getting a response through his eBay account. Little did I know that his account had already been shut down!!

I got the same message yesterday. I looked to see his record as an eBay member. It is too recent. Even though the e-mail comes from supposedly PayPal, if you hover your mouse over the sender, you will see that it comes from a gmail account. This coupled with the fact that this transaction did not appear on my PayPal account, I called him out and closed the item that I had for sale on eBay. Fuck his ass!

This is the actual email, he is sending the fake Paypal emails, from: servicesdepartment2@gmail.com

He tried to scam me, mailed it off and everything..got home, checked my Paypal account, realized what happened, ran back to the Post Office and got my package back. Death to this dude, I hope someone murders him in a public fashion.

Why do people get scammed by this obvious scammer? I knew exactly what he was trying to do. I get them all the time from this guy but I'm not going be stupid to accept his scammer butt. You CANNOT sell outside of eBay and only use PayPal. That's against eBay policies and you could get in trouble as well.
Never send an invoice only through PayPal. Only allow people to purchase through eBay. Using PayPal they could obviously take your money and claim they never got the package.

He is a scam. Don't trust this guy.

Got the same thing. Seemed too good to be true, so I played along. He asked me to send him a payment request via Paypal. And once he told me to check in my junk mail for the confirmation, I immediately figured it was a scam. The entire email looked fake, and my Paypal request stated "John Simon has not sent a payment" despite the confirmation from "service@intl.paypal.com". Then I decided to look up the "johnsimon96@yahoo.com, service@intl.paypal.com, and track-trace-verification@post.com". ALL FAKE EMAILS!

Trust your instincts! It saved me from this scam.

Ebay scammer, trying to convince me he sent me a payment on Paypal, telling me to check my email for confirmation. If the money does not show up in my Paypal account, he did not send it. I knew this guy was fishy. He sent me a message on eBay regarding something I was selling. He emailed me telling me he wanted to buy my item and have it sent to Malaysia. Same MO. Then when I checked my PayPal and saw that no money was sent I checked my email again and went to my "Spam" box. Thank GOD for Google Spam notifications. It was NOT a legitimate email from PayPal.

He's a scammer. I'm gonna report him to PayPal, eBay, and Google.
