He purchased a piece of camera equipment from me on eBay -- offered more than it was listed for. Ship to name was different than Paypal name, which was different than eBay username, and ship to address was used for may other Paypal and eBay accounts. eBay was very kind and was able to use this Bad Buyer List as evidence of a potential scam and was able to reverse my transaction. Thank you all for posting here, crisis avoided.

Long story short: it would appear that this location is used by an "agent" or "middle man" type service provider for international buyers, which would explain the many different names that we've all come across linked to this one address.

I just had a buyer from Singapore buying some 80s toys through a Facebook group. I thought it was fishy when he paid there was no verified address and he said he would send the address in a picture. The address listed is a freight forwarding address used by multiple buyers, mostly for consolidated shipping to Singapore. There may have been some bad buyers, but not all of us are bad! I hope that "good buyers" are not blacklisted on this site, for a few black sheep. It's typically just a way for international buyers to purchase specific goods without paying exorbitant shipping fees. But obviously, sellers should sell only if they're comfortable with this process!

Wow I just got an order for the same address with the EBay buyer name of van_yee0307 from Singapore and had a different PayPal name on n the account. They gave me an offer which I countered then didn’t pay until I told them that purchases must be paid before shipping. Now their asking me all kinds of questions and for an inventory list of what I have so they can review to purchase. When first they asked for the discount for a gift but now wanting to know what I have for inventory to send them a list. I have a 2 day handling service and how would I go about to alert eBay so as I don’t have the same problem as others?

Have spent days messaging with this person & once I pointed out the issue could be the fact it was shipped to "Merlin", how would they know who to send it to in Philippines ?? , they're now asking for "kindness" in way of discount. The send to name was strange (same address as above) so I searched it and found this site. I immediately contacted ebay to cancel the transaction. This is the same user as lensguru. I was told that as a seller we can no longer leave negative feedback for a buyer. Any negative feedback goes to ebay only. I had NO idea. The feedback for this user was stellar! All positive comments. I'm so glad I checked it out. There are other complaints pending on this username. I had my seller preference set to block buyers who've had 2 unpaid item strikes within 6 months which I've now switched to 12 months. That's all we can do. Be warned!

I recently bought some stuff from an online seller in Etsy. As I am based in Singapore, I was using a third party forwarder/middleman to save on international shipping costs. I realize this might be a freight forwarder but they also penned their emails as Merl which I thought odd if this is a common name used by many for forwarding packages. Just FYI for sellers, we run a small jewelry business and have several customers using this address from Singapore and they are legit. They all use Merlion and then a 6 digit number (I think this is their account number with that company) so the address does not automatically mean it's fraud but I believe fraudsters like to use these kinds of addresses so always beware and rely on your instincts. If something seems off, it probably is. We have honestly had a lot more issues with the card churning variety of fraud at addresses similar to (usually one or two digits different in the address or zip):

Thanks for the info as well! Buyer located in Singapore, a country where I do no ship to was using this re-shipping company to avoid this restriction, which is against my eBay store policy. Re-shipping company used is known to be used a lot by scammers. eBay user name was "technobagus".

Seems to be a lot of misinformed sellers on here. The address mentioned is a freight forwarding service for Singaporean customers and not any single buyer. Please note that and do not simply cancel on a buyer if they are from this address. Singaporean buyers tend to be more cautious and ask more questions because of the uncertainty and high costs it takes to ship from eBay or other American websites.

Using a shell name/address in the U.S. to make purchases for overseas buyers is not being honest with sellers who ship these items in good faith. Singapore is a country I will no longer sell to (even though we do sell internationally elsewhere) due to a high level of fraud and issues with buyers. Hiding behind a Portland address is withholding important information from sellers like us, as we would not otherwise send these orders to this country.

I had an Amazon buyer shipping to the Portland, OR address above. It was custom made glass prints you hang on the wall. Amazon suggested I get a signature for delivery which they have never mentioned before. This made me google the address and find this very informative page. Now that I know it will most likely be shipped overseas, I have cancelled their order since I know they will most likely be broken, or they'll find some other reason for a refund.

I just had this address (merlion)submit a dispute stating item wasn't received. EBAY and tracking verified it was delivered 3 weeks ago!!. Then story changed to a wrong item. They Submitted a claim and they lost as it WAS delivered. They then threatened me on eBay, took picture of address and threatened to put me on dark web and said good luck.
