This person bought a gorgeous seven-piece antique doll outfit from us which closed at around $220. After two weeks of non-payment, I resent the invoice and asked them if everything was ok with payment. They eventually responded after about the second or third time I contacted them. In their message they said they'd only pay if I gave them the First Class shipping price and if I lied about the item's value. (That message was to be the only time I ever heard from them) I looked at their feedback and noticed they have two unpaid comments right on the first page. Just wanting to get rid of the item at this point, since it'd been purchased almost a month prior, I took a $28 hit on the shipping but I denied their request to lie about the item's value on the customs paperwork. I watched the package's transit closely and noticed they weren't picking it up at the post office. USPS tracking # CW068937342US. I messaged them several times (in English and German and finally in several other major world languages) but was completely ignored. I thought, great, I've lost $28 (+eBay fees) and now they won't accept it because they don't want to pay the VAT. I got their phone number from eBay but it gave the number of a different person in a different country. So I called eBay, asking them to contact the person via an official eBay message. I never heard from the buyer still to this day but I think eBay's message was effective because I haven't gotten the item back in the mail and they haven't requested a refund. I thought they might have experienced some sort of serious problem like a medical emergency -- hence the lack of contact -- but they've continued to use the account. In total, they have 7 non-payer comments and several comments about slow payment and poor communication.
