Details: | Buyer emailed me with a lowball offer for a new with tag North Face down vest. I countered with my reserve price and told him it was firm. Buyer continued sending aggressive messages with his lowball offer. I ignored him. The next day, I received a message that he accepted my offer. An email arrived within one minute asking me to cancel, because he "hit the button by accident." As I was attempting to cancel the order and block him, I received another notice that he paid for the item, along with a message that he decided that my price was reasonable. I sent out the item. He received it two days later. Three weeks went by. On Black Friday, I received a notice that the buyer opened up an "Item Not as Described" case against me. His reasoning was, "Doesn't match description or photos." His comments were, "Item has been used and washed before the materials doesn't feel good and doesn't keep you warm cuz the cotton has been soaked." He included my original photo from my listing. I replied with photos of the vest as I was preparing it for shipment. I explained to him that the vest was never used or washed. I have no control over how the vest feels or comforts him. The vest is not made from cotton. It is goose down with a polyester shell, as is clearly stated in the listing. He changed his story and replied, "It's light I was charged too much for a used item never used it has it tag still I want a refund." I replied, "How can you say the item is "light", "doesn't feel good", or "doesn't keep you warm" if you never used it? What are the signs of wear when you received the item? Is it possible there was damage during the shipping process? Do you have photos? Are you just unhappy with the price?" He refused to describe his claim of how the vest was "used" or include photos. He claimed he only tried it on once, then continued complaining about the price and wanting a refund. He clearly had buyers remorse and opened up an INAD case against me in order to force me to accept the return. Upon receipt of the vest, I noticed that the tag had been removed and reattached with a string. Buyer was reported for opening a false INAD case and altering an item for return. |
