Buyer won the auction and requested my contact info through eBay. He sent me a text stating he bought my iPhone as a birthday gift for his daughter and also to motivate her for her final exam in college. He asked me to ship the item that day (it was a Friday at 6:30pm) and indicated that he would pay me through PayPal. I requested he pay me through eBay and he began to get frustrated, stating that he needed my PayPal email address because he couldn't get onto his eBay account. His English quickly deteriorated over text as he got more upset with me, which makes me think the initial texts he sent me about his daughter were crafted by someone else and have been used before.

I believe he was attempting the scam where the buyer sends the seller a fake email from PayPal stating they've been paid. The seller then ships the product before realizing the email was fake and no money has been transferred.
