Details: | Buyer purchased a Shiebler Sterling Silver Vinaigrette chatelaine bottle from me in March. Tracking was provided and showed delivery. Buyer had relisted Vinaigrette for a much higher price using my description. She sold the Vinaigrette to another buyer which I verified through her sold items. A little after 90 days in July I received a notification through PayPal that an open case had been opened through her financial institution and that the buyer claims the purchase was not authorized. After contacting buyer, buyer responded back that she did receive it but she did not like it so she sold it. A total lie. She told me she was sorry and that she would contact PayPal as soon as possible to resolve the matter. I made my own phone calls to both EBay and PayPal to report the fraudulent transaction but neither cared to investigate as the buyer is still buying and selling as a trade partner on Ebay. The PayPal case was settled in the buyers favor so the buyer not only sold the Vinaigrette for more but she also profited from the refund scheme. This was after providing proof that she sold the item she supposedly didn’t authorize...a very rare piece from the late 1800’s. Not something you can just duplicate. Purchase was best offer price. Total purchase price was $203 with shipping. |
