Details: | I've been selling off my Hallmark Ornament Collection the past 2 months. This person ordered one of my pristine Magic Ornaments. I took photos of the box it comes in and had never removed it from the box. The box shows the ornament on the front. Both the ornament and box were mint. After carefully packing and mailing it, I get a notification from ebay stating this person wants to return it because it was not as advertised. She claims the ornament box was damaged on all sides and that the ornament, box packing and outer box stunk. In my listings I have 14 day returns but the buyer has to pay for postage. I think in order to save the $3 to ship it back she said it was not as advertised so I would have to pay postage. Ebay is notorious for believing anything the buyer says so I was forced to either give her a total refund include return postage or let them open up a claim in which ebay states if you lose, it could affect your seller ratings. So if they side with the buyer what choice do you have? I'm going to pull out of ebay soon and find another selling venue. I hope I can find one that respects and cares about their buyers. I really hate liars and scammers and sick to death of people like this lady. I just don't want to deal with it anymore. |

Time to start moving away from EBay and look into Prestostore and Ecrater as other avenues. The more you as the seller folk over some 20% of your income to EBay for doing nothing, the more and more they are going to pull their crap. You sellers do nothing except bitch and complain about EBay and do nothing! Until you start taking legal action as a group, its only going to get worse.
You think its bad now, wait until the future comes, you'd think it wasnt as bad now. Start moving away from EBay to other marketplaces.
