I'm a new seller. The buyer offered to buy my item for $100 more than the original price I listed it for. I accepted the offer and the buyer texted me saying that they's make the transaction as soon as possible as long as I provide my email. I provided my email and the buyer said they would pay the next day. Before the next day, I did some research on buyers offering more than the listed price and read multiple cases that revealed that this was a common scam tactic done to new sellers, since buyers shouldn't need the seller's email to make a transaction. The buyer would've sent me a fake email that looks like an email from eBay saying that the money was transferred into my PayPal. Right then and there, I requested to cancel the transaction, blocked the buyer and reported them on this website.

First off, you do not do offline transactions off eBay, right there its a scammer. Someone wants to pay you more than what your willing to sell it for? That's the first sign of a scammer. Why would someone want to pay more than what your selling it for and what others are, simple, its a stolen credit card or account. You NEVER give out your private information online. You dont know anyone here that buys from you from a hole in the wall, and the only thing they are trying to do is scam you left and right. Your going to get another pieces of shit assholes thats going to try it. Make sure you get products back before refunding or sending out other merchandise. Make policies and stick to them, policies should be stated that protect you the company because the reality is that NO ONE is on your side, not Ebay Not PayPal, NO ONE!
