| Details: | Using a fake tracking number scam when attempting to return the item same day upload of bogus tracking while also immediately filing a claim with eBay. All this in the attempt to both get my money and keep my item I filed an appeal and was successfully able to receive my refund. Took eBay all of 10 minutes to see through the scam beware. |

Document everything and send screenshots to eBay’s business page on eBay via Facebook messenger. Reference this behavior being a repeat of a similar claim buyer made with it last 30 days. eBay should side with you or at least refund you.

Did they not use your return label? I would reference that they uploaded a tracking number generated in Florida and it was scanned in NY. That’s what they did to me.

Send all of this to eBay, they have to see a pattern here. This person is working with others to scam sellers.

Update eBay finally sided with me. Took 24 calls. 8 different days of messages on Facebook. 4 customer support chats, and 5 emails. Not one person said the same thing, every answer I kept getting was different

I’m glad they finally sided with you. I hope you reiterated to them that this buyer has a pattern of doing this. I would make sure you report them through the seller hub, and document everything in the report.
