Buyer opened a return claiming the item was defective. We advised the buyer that we were willing to accept the return and upon arrival we would refund their purchase if it was defective or refund item cost minus shipping if it was resellable. Buyer then got defensive and chose to not return the item and demanded a full refund. This is suspect because if they knew it was defective then they should have just returned it and everything would work out for them. More likely this was a buyers remorse scenario but they chose defective to get around the return shipping cost. eBay CS advised us to do nothing and wait for the return window to expire and they would close the case for us. Still got a negative feedback but not responsible for a refund and defect to our seller metrics. Block and avoid this buyer.
