Details: | This guy uses 3 or 4 different names, including what appears to be his father's Paypal account and e-mail. I canceled 2 transactions with him, letting him know that the brand new, sealed video game he had won was actually not sealed as I had thought and so I canceled the orders (no money had been paid at this point). He messaged back, demanding detailed and specific information and photos of the item that I had. 10 minutes later, he messaged again telling me to respond to his first message (It was 11pm my time and 1am his time, and I hadn't even seen the first one at that point, so WTF?). He ignored that the order was CANCELED and sent payment for one of the games anyway. When I responded the next morning, I explained that I had refunded his money and that I couldn't sell him items that were different than I had described in the listing. Also, that I would take photos and relist with the proper condition when I had the opportunity to do so. He got angry and claimed that, because he didn't want to cancel and he had paid me, I was obligated to sell the games to him and that I must be lying to him about why I wanted to cancel. A day later, he left negative feedback for me, claiming that I had canceled after he paid. He still has not confirmed the cancellations so that they can be closed. I assume he thinks being an a-hole is going to somehow make me sell him games I don't actually have. Having looked into him further, I've discovered that he resells games for exorbitant prices ($75+) under the eBay user ID rarecopy. And the games that I had sold him for under $20 each would have been worth about $80 each, if they were brand new and sealed. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't lying about their condition. I also discovered that he is a known scammer, who purchases brand new & sealed games from people and then claims that they are not as the seller described (Gee, I wonder why he wanted me to violate eBay's policy?). He gets his money back, keeps the games, and turns around and sells them for a profit. Anytime he has had to return the game, he sends a completely different one in bad condition. He has had at least one eBay account suspended. Despite this, he does have stellar feedback, likely because most sellers would rather not deal with further drama (unfortunately, I'm not leaving him negative either, much as I feel it would be deserved). Put this guy, and all of aliases, on your block list, sellers! He is incredibly bad news! |
