Details:

This buyer bought a video game code from me few months ago.
This is the Ultimate gold Pack of FIFA 12 game on xbox 360, provided by Electronic Arts ( EA )
This code gives game add-ons each month, from October 2011 until March 2012.
It is redeemable from the xbox live marketplace only.
After March 2012, EA will not give anymore add-ons access of it.

Meaning it is not a physical item, but only giving you access that publisher ( EA ) allows you to download something from OCT to MAR.

Yesterday I recived email from this buyer:

Quoted from buyer 27th April:

" i recently purchased "FIFA 12: Ultimate Team Gold Packs, XBox 360 game code . i received the first three packs with no problem but have not had any more packs, my son was expecting to get three packs a month? not sure if the mistake is ours or yours, would appreciate your help. Thanks ".

My reply:
" EA does not gives anymore of this packs out after MAR 2012 , also see:
http://newsletters.ea.com/2011/FIFA/GAMESCOM/en/ "

His reply:
" Right, so you are saying that the code i purchased expired before i
could receive all the packs as advertised on your web site? this is not
exceptable as i paid for and therefore would expect to receive the full
amount of packs purchased, i would like my money back or a new code.

regards "

My reply:
" Hi,

We did not advertise how many packs a customer will recieve as you said.
This depends on when a user started redeem the code. If he redeem it earlier, that EA gives more.
Dealine is MAR 2012 as advertised "

You need to contact Electronic Arts if you want extra packs.

Regards
"

His reply:
" very poor response, not impressed. will never us this sight again and
will advise all friends and fellow gamers likewise. "

Look,
The expiry date, EA terms of use ..etc were all written on the ad before he made the purchase.
It is clearly he is thinks " I paid you, so I am always right " .

So, how do you guys think ?

If you are not familiar with video games, try see these examples.

1. Windows XP service pack 3 supports download from Microsoft website from AUG 2011 to APR 14, 2011

So would you ask for a refund from Kmart ( or whatever )" with this reason after it ended?Or contact Microsoft and ask them to extend the support ( if possible ) ?

And why is Kmart ( or me ) is responsible for this, instead of publisher ?

2. You buy a pre-paid phone card in March which has a expiry date in February.
So would you ask for a refund after February and because of " I can't use now " ?

These people just don't like to pay for what they need, but asking for free lifetime extension!

They know they won't get a chance from publisher ( Microsoft / EA ) , so they attack the seller !

You guys better beware of this buyer in the future.
I have banned him on my list.
