Similar story here, but more recently April 2024. Susan Wilkerson goes by the name of ‘Georgia Peach’ on the Mercari app. Susan bought two items from me; an unopened Pioneer Woman Ring Toss game and a sign. Upon receiving the bundle, she filed a return and claimed “insufficient packaging” with photos of the sign, but not the ring toss. Mercari gave her the order for free and I was told I was out $25 due to “insufficient packing”. She only sent back the sign, which looked gouged or keyed in photos she took to file the claim in the first place, but she kept the unopened red white and blue ring toss set. Not only could I not resell the sign, there was more damage to it on one of the ceramic knobs because she used the same box sans ring toss. I fought back and now have a $25 credit, regardless Mercari stands behind the buyer. I have since blocked the account.
