Buyer from Russia purchased an item on e-Bay, then opened a claim for non-delivery without giving enough time for delivery from USA. I explained that he had to check with the local post office to see if the item was there. The item was eventually returned to me 3 months later marked "non-claimed". e-Bay AS ALWAYS :( went ahead and ruled in the buyer's favor without enough time to ensure that the buyer had checked with the post office. Waste of my time and shipping costs. Plus the Seller (me) is out the cost of Seller Fees and outbound shipping costs. e-Bay Customer Service was ARROGANT during the appeal. Of course, e-Bay isn't out a nickel, and neither is the Customer Service Rep who gets paid by the hour. e-Bay is up $9.00 through Seller fees on a $100+ item. Maybe they will care when all of their Sellers go elsewhere.
It seems criminal that e-Bay can charge Seller Fees for an item that has been refunded in its entirety, including shipping. Thanks, e-Bay. :(
