Where do we start but suffice to say this is the worst and most pathetic fraudulent attempt in nearly 20 years. On investigation this appears to be an ‘Empty Box Scam’ scammers claim not to received goods and very rampant on Amazon. These idiots succeed on Amazon as Amazon don’t care about their sellers but when dealing with independent companies they are going to find this scam a non starter. We had problems from the start with the customer wanting an expensive Tenpoint crossbow until he was informed delivery would be 2-3 weeks (red flag). He then ordered an expensive Excalibur crossbow only to ring up and request details of the packaging (red flag) On delivery day he said he couldn’t find somewhere to use it. We advised he should not keep the crossbow and simply refuse delivery. Later another message wanting to keep it to see if he could find somewhere to shoot. Then a message with Parcelforce tracking showing the delivery had been made to a neighbour, he lives in a small hotel (red flag). Then he began his campaign of abuse despite being told where the package was (he had it all the time), instead he said he was going to the police. We were subjected to over a week of abuse, threats, intimidation and harassment demanding a replacement crossbow. One female colleague keen to report the harassment to the police. Next day he said he collected it from this non existent neighbour (see Parcelforce response) stating that he had checked the contents. The box weighed 10.5 kilos (Parcelforce weigh on collection and delivery) but what he has stated he received was 2.458kg. Before we knew this we advised him we would issue him with a return label but as we were closed for stock taking that would have to be the 30th, which is clearly less than 14 days from his delivery date of the 18th October. This was not acceptable and it was then he stated that the crossbow was missing from the box. You can understand by his language and tone that the thought of someone this volatile and unstable possessing a high powered crossbow simply terrified us. All the way through this he acted in a very peculiar way not the how you would expect in a lost shipment situation. He bombarded us with phone calls, emails and hundreds of Whats App messages demanding we send a replacement. Even after being confronted by the facts he continued his extorsion by threatening ‘Now how about the feedbacks!? What you gonna do about it? “

Parcelforce responded on Monday 23rd. They have spoken to their driver involved and checked the delivery photo which was taken outside the hotel. The box is sealed, the delivery weight is 10.5 kg and GPS coordinates confirm delivery location.

"Please accept my apologies for the feedback you are still receiving regarding this delivery and how stressful this has become for you. I must advise that we have finalised our investigations and have confirmed this was delivered to the Hotel. My colleague Michael advised that this may have been delivered to the medical centre next door. He raised an investigation with the depot who confirmed that this had been correctly delivered to the Hotel and the scan as delivered to neighbour was accidental as the driver had written 'direct customer' on the signature. For this confusion I can only apologise for. This is why no house number was left, because it was delivered to the Hotel and why no card was left because it was delivered to the Hotel. The gps supports correct delivery and the delivery photo clearly matches the delivery address and accepted by an individual at that address".
