Customer bought heavy oversized item. Then complained about shipping costs, but then approved shipment. After receiving, complained it was defective. After we proved to him, it was working and tested, he changed his story to - cosmetic issues. Upon asking him to return it he demanded we pay for shipping back. When we denied that request he filed CC claim. The owner agreed to refund item price but not shipping costs. filed another CC claim with American Express. Liar cheater ended up with free product, free shipping

You should log everything down, never talk to their person via phone because its just your word vs. his. If your running a business, get a some sort of ticketing system where everyting is documented. Making sure before he enters the ticketing system, you get the asshole to state (1) who he is (2) what he bought (3) if he was the authorized card holder (4) the amount of the purchase (4) he read and agreed to the terms and conditions. That will protect you against any bulshit claims the asshole tries to make. You should of documented every thing and clearly make it a point on how this person has no knowlege of what he bought, keeps changing his story, and he purposely filed a fraud dispute because he no longer wanted it and basically blackmailed you into trying to pay for the shipment costs.

Get a ticketing system so that every thing the person claims is documented. Never speak to them on the phone because its basically his word vs yours. Amex will allow this asshole piece of shit to dispute the item over and over again up to 6 times.

Warning. This buyer is a troublemaker on Amazon. Richard Fernandez will immediately leave negative feedback and file an A-Z claim to get a full refund. Attempting to keep the item that was correctly received for free. Multiple orders all resulting in the same thing

You can easily prove that the whole dispute was nothing but bullshit that was only about the buyer refusing to pay for the shipping charges. Amazon is going to screw you over each and every time, that you already know. When Amazon, Ebay, or PayPal hear the word chargrback, they automatically in most cases, will give the money back to the buyer. The buyer is the only one that can take the money away from these companies. They are fearful of ending up with the loss so they screw you over as the buyer.

If the asshole is in the United States, save up all your documentation of what this asshole was doing, first complaining about the shipping rates, demanding you pay for the return, making up the whole fraud case. The shipping rates should be disclosed to everyone, whether you state it in the terms or its in the checkout. Also state your policies and make sure they are clearly stated. Take the asshole spick to collections.
