Details: | This buyer bought a record from me for about $30 and I shipped it to him. A little over two weeks later, I get a message from him saying he never received it and that he contacted the post office, who in turn told him to contact me. I checked the tracking information and it seemed that it had never been scanned. I was puzzled, but then examined the tracking number and realized I had accidentally left out a digit. After inputting the correct number on the post office website, it showed that the package was picked up from the post office 5 days after I had shipped it. I was being scammed. I updated the tracking number on eBay and literally minutes after doing so, I get another message from the buyer stating "Never mind, I found it". He now knew he couldn't claim it was lost. I didn't call him out on it, but have blocked him from bidding on my items. |
